Michael's ashes has been scattered on January 22nd, 1998 (on this day he would have been 38 years old) on Sydney Harbour... ❤️😢

Here's the link to it and his "The Michael Hutchence Memorial" site:

November 22, one more day without the light of Michael Hutchence.

2022 is also the 40th anniversary of INXS brilliant third album “Shabooh Shoobah” which made them world wide recognized.

My all-time favorite song from INXS

“I’m standing in here on the ground

The sky above won’t fall down

See no evil in all directions

Resolution of happiness

Things have been dark for too long

Don’t change for you

Don’t change a thing for me

Don’t change for you

Don’t change a thing for me…”

The song: youtu.be/Ts132zJ8jyc

Ok , I'll have a Steve Mc Queen , Daniel Craig , some early Jack Nicholson , Benicio Del toro , some Eric Bana , a bit of Gullit .

Can I return if Im not happy with purchase,

Cool , I'll hold on to my receipt then .

I need a new way

Out of here

The door

Is opening

I'm losing my fear

Suddenly

The way

Has come to me

Freedom take me

Deeper

Freedom take me

Deeper

I can't believe it's been 25 years already since Michael Hutchence left this world. A beautiful & precious soul gone much too soon... 💔

We miss you so much, Michael! RIP

I found this comforting poem on "The Michael Hutchence Memorial" site:

His sister Tina Hutchence read it at his funeral (in a slightly different form):

Not so long ago I came across this report published by Jeanette Leech (uDiscover) and I think she nailed it:

All deceased rock stars mentioned (in order top to bottom L to R) in my poem "rock & roll is a woman") in the stanza of the list of the dead.

Michael Kelland John Hutchence (January 22, 1960 – November 22, 1997) was the original lead singer of the Australian rock band INXS.

On the morning of November 22, 1997, Hutchence, aged 37, was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Double Bay, Sydney (now the Sir Stamford). A belt found at the scene suggested that he had died by hanging.

The Coroner of New South Wales determined that Hutchence's death was the result of suicide but analysis of the witness statements in the Coroner's report, the lack of a suicide note and other anecdotal evidence, such as the fact that Hutchence was found nude has led some - including some of Hutchence's closest relatives, including his brother - to suggest that the cause of death may have resulted from autoerotic asphyxiation

Paula Yates died on September 17, 2000 of what was ruled an accidental heroin overdose. She had been battling Hutchence's family for custody of their daughter Tiger Lily, but ultimately it was decided that the child would live with Bob Geldof and be raised with her sisters.

Michael Hutchence and INXS at Hervey Bay, Australia 1990. INXS appeared at the tiny venue of the Kondari Resort, Hervey Bay on 9th October 1990. Because the tickets sold so quick, they decided to play another night. This photo was taken on the 10th October. The venue was so small that it was easy to just walk to the front and take pictures. In a time before digital cameras and phone cameras, I took these photos on a handy compact 35 mm. I believe I was the only one who took photos of the concert on the same night.

It's hard to believe that INXS were playing to packed audiences at Wembley the same year!

Australian musician and actor Michael Hutchence (1960-1997) was a founding member, lead singer and lyricist of rock band INXS from 1977 until his death in November 1997. He acted in feature films, including Dogs in Space (1986), Frankenstein Unbound (1990) and Limp (1997). Hutchence exuded an overtly sexual, macho cool with his flowing locks, and lithe and exuberant stage movements. Hutchence's relationship with UK television presenter Paula Yates began while she was married to musician and Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof. Geldof and Yates divorced in 1996. During July of the same year, Hutchence and Yates had a daughter, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily. On the morning of 22 November 1997, Hutchence was found dead in his hotel room in Sydney. His death was reported by the New South Wales Coroner to be the result of suicide. In 2000, Yates died of a heroin overdose. The couple's daughter was placed in Geldof's custody with her half-sisters.
