Life is a painting, and you are the artist. You have on your palette all the colors in the spectrum - the same ones available to Michaelangelo and DaVinci.

Sunset in Rome is pretty dramatic! Add to it the most famous view of all, the view of the Vatican as seen from Punto Umberto, and you have a jawdropping unforgetable experience everybody should explore. The interestingness score is off the chart and the drama is right behind. I hope you guys all have the opportunity to go here one day. At the time I took the picture there were at least 5 other photographers. A trip to Rome is not complete without this snap on your camera :)
I know you're not to take pictures in the esteemed Sistine Chapel, but I snuck a few in by placing my camera on my lap. I hope the Pope's Police won't come after me for posting this. ;-)
Composite created using "God and Adam" by Michaelangelo and a coffee cup from Pixabay. Part of my "Classic Altered Art" series that I sell on my Etsy store.

Looking down at Ponte Vecchio Bridge Florence just two weeks ago from Piazzale Michaelangelo. The road to the left of the bridge just yesterday, collapsed causing cars to fall into the cavern. It was the spot where we walked everyday.
Rain!! it has been RAINING!!! and then raining AGAIN!! and the cloud formations have been glorious. I took this from the car yesterday just before we entered the tunnel southbound.
The outside of the Capitol building is beautiful, but inside is another world!
When you first walk in, you enter the rotunda. Great looks in all 4 directions. Artwork everywhere, like Michaelangelo did it himself. You look up 3 stories to the capitol dome. Beautiful throughout!

Inspired by Renaissance statues from Michaelangelo and Bernini. I want to try a more 'artistic' approach to my building style
Also taken from Michaelangelo's Plaza at night with the 70-200mm, image stabilised on the Manfrotto.
Not the usual view of Michaelangelo's David captured on holiday in Italy September 2022. Top tip, always book well ahead for the Galleria Academia! well worth a visit and David is much bigger than expected.
The Palazzo Vecchio (left) and the Duomo (right) as seen from Piazza Michaelangelo.
Florence, Italy.
So we spent our last moments in Florence getting an awesome view of Florence in the morning light from the Piazzale Michaelangelo. What a view!
… on this very spot, 60 years ago, stood Michaelangelo Antonioni’s camera.
Actually more like 53 years ago. Blow Up is not as old as I thought :-)
With apologies to Michaelangelo. Not the image that I started out to create. I was going to have da Vinci's Vetruvian Man standing inside the lightbulb, with a lightning bolt arcing between his hands. But you try and find a model willing to stand there naked during a thunderstorm, with a conductor in each hand.
Taken from the TML 'Samsun' en route to Genoa from Haifa, ships of the US 7th Fleet greeted our arrival.
The ocean liner at the far left is the 'Leonardo da Vinci'. Closer and mostly obscured by the American warships, one of the two sister ships 'SS Michaelangelo / SS Raffaello' is preparing to depart on a trans Atlantic voyage.
