The Old Town in Warsaw was established in the 13th century but almost totally demolished in the second World War. After the war Old Town was meticulously rebuilt. As many as possible of the original bricks were reused. However the reconstruction was not necessarily built accurately to pre-war Warsaw, often by deferring to an earlier period, attempting to improve upon the original, or by adding an authentic looking facade to cover a more modern building. The rubble was sifted for reusable decorative elements, which were reinserted into their original places.
Today Old town in Warsaw is listed as one of Unescos world heritages sites.

KrzywiÅ is a small town in the province Greater Poland, with approximately 1,700 inhabitants. It was a private clergy town belonging to the Benedictine abbot in Lubin. The first preserved mention of KrzywiÅ as a town comes from 1272. In 1382, the city was destroyed during domestic fights, the reconstruction took place half a century later. In the middle of the Market Square there is a statue of St. Wawrzyniec street and the frontages are built with houses from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Walking in The Old Town in Piran :)
Piran is a town in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea. The town is known for its medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses and it's one of Slovenia's major tourist attractions. Architecture of Piran resembles the Italian Venice, to which it belonged in the past, together with Istria. Most of the buildings, as well as the medieval walls separating the city from the rest of the mainland, also come from this period. In the middle of the town is the Tartini Square, with a monument in memory of Giuseppe Tartini. Nearby are located various important buildings, such as Tartiniās house, first mentioned in 1384 and one of the oldest in town, the Municipal Palace. The area of Piran has been inhabited since ancient times. The name of the town most probably originates from the Greek "pyros", meaning fire, due to ancient lighthouses which were supposed to be on the edge of the marina. From 1283 to 1797, the town became part of the Republic of Venice and then was annexed to the Austrian Empire. In 1954 The town was annexed to Yugoslavia.

Among Krakówās most well-known landmarks, this sculpture in the western corner of the market square is a popular meeting place and at some point serves as a photographic backdrop for almost every tourist who visits the city.
Affectionately referred to as āThe Headā, the bronze body partās official title is āEros Bendatoā (Eros Bound) and is the work of Polish artist Igor Mitoraj (1944 - 2014).
A student of Tadeusz Kantor at the Kraków School of Art, an exhibition of 14 of Mitorajās monumental works dressed the Rynek from Oct 17, 2003 to Jan 25, 2004, during which the artist gifted this work to the city, sparking controversy over what to do with it. Initially, the sculpture was designated for the square in front of Galeria Krakowska, but the artist was indignant about having his work in front of a commercial building.
Despite protest from historians and many locals, the sculpture eventually found its current place near the Town Hall Tower, where it has become an unexpected tourist attraction.
