It's already been a year since I was standing there in the sand taking this picture. A sweet reminder to myself that its time for a break.
Between two worlds
Two paths of life.
Underneath the bridges.
Is another walk of life.
Too dark for a camera to enter.

Shooting the streets of Miami at night is just different. The neons and art deco architecture give it a whole mood.
This 47-story landmark office skyscraper in Miami, Florida, United States is located in central Downtown. The building is lit up a night in different colors depending on the occasion. It has also a unique Sky Lobby Terrace which is located on the 11th floor, featuring outside dining, a reflecting pool, lush landscaping, and panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, Coral Gables, Miami International Airport, and downtown Miami.
View south along Biscayne Boulevard towards the Central Business District and Bayfront Park.
“Ever since I was a little kid, I always dreamed of being a Big City kid… I have to say I just love the city lights at night.” ~~ Dustin Milligan, author
I have to say – I agree

Colorful Ocean Drive on a quite week night. Ocean Drive is usually busy on the weekends especially during spring break, and Memorial day weekend. People spend their night dining and drinking at the many establishments along Ocean Drive.
I lived in South Florida for some years back in the late 90's early 2000's. I used to drive down to Miami on the weekends to hang out. I've seen this place packed with crowds of people, lots of beautiful women, luxury cars, motorcycles, and of course drunk people. I've met famous people randomly walking on Ocean Drive, I've seen plenty of good things and some bad things go down here. One Memorial Day weekend I spent 3 days with about 15 friends hanging around south beach. I think I may have slept about 6 hours the entire weekend. I was living off of pure adrenaline and the fear of missing out. lol I have so many good memories from those days that I'll never forget.

This exquisite, elegant, and distinct hotel is right off the Brickell Financial District, and close to Downtown Miami.
I used my own blending techniques and workflow to create this Blue Hour view by combining 2 long exposure images. They were taken about 10 minutes apart. The trick was to find the one view to stick to during the shooting process. That was the plan. I also secured the tripod with two small sand bags to avoid any motion blur. It was breeze - as usual!
The first image was recorded at 45s for the structures and sky, and the second at 125s, for brighter lights and to give the bay a silky-smooth look.
