One of the many colorful groups of Ballet Folklorico performers from all around the Republica de Mexico parading in the streets and on the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta yesterday. These are typical folkloric costumes from Tehuantepec, Oaxaca!
Coming from an appointment at the other end of town our traffic was re-directed away from a very colorful crowd of people. I caught glimpses of Ballet Folklore dancers, horses, caballeros and musicians, and although i only had my iPhone 3 with me, we stopped... i ran and mingled with the parade and came away inspired and excited.... plus with some 75 shots of Colorful Mexico!!
That's Mexico for you, always some colorful Fiesta happening (((:

I have to assume that when this was built it had a balcony on the second floor. The balcony is long gone, but the double door remains. It seems a little odd to me that it has a dead bolt above the door handle. Were they worried someone would climb up to the balcony and enter the building that way?
