EGO es un shampoo que se ha abierto paso en un mercado no explorado en México: productos de belleza para hombres. Aprovechando el boom metrosexual, el producto se posiciona como un shampoo diseñado específicamente para los hombres, que no necesitan tantos cuidados como el sexo femenino.
Para introducir el producto se utilizó una campaña donde el centro era el monólogo de un actor explicando porqué se necesitaba un shampoo para hombres. Esta tuvo un éxito aceptable y logró posicionar el producto e imponer una tendencia que la competencia no tardó en imitar.
En esta ocasión, el dummy aprovecha la identidad del producto y utiliza la sensualidad y sexualidad para vender. La concepción del anuncio gira alrededor de la sugestión, la imagen y el texto en conjunto buscan un doble sentido, muy común en el género masculino.
“Humedezca y aplique” es la frase que encabeza el dummy, y se apoya con la imagen de la modelo en la regadera. Se coloca el producto junto a ella para su identificación, además del logotipo y slogan de la marca. Sería innecesario hacer explícito el doble sentido, es preferible que el espectador juegue con su imaginación respecto a lo que significa dicha analogía.

This past Saturday night I had off, so I went wild and went and got a couple tattoos on my thighs & neck, and then went home and got dressed up in trendy, tight-fitting metrosexual clothes and met up with a bunch of guys I used to hang out with. We went bar hopping in Hollywood, got kicked out of a few of them, but kept doing shots at all these crazy bars in Santa Monica. Then got in this bar fight with a guy hitting on my friend and got detained by the police in a cop car for 4 hours while we got it figured out. After getting released we headed to a diner and ordered all this food and realized the cops still had our wallets so we had to ask this homeless guy for some money, and he stabbed Roger in the arm with a dull pencil. 3 hours later at the hospital we all left as the sun was setting and finally got to sleep around 8am.... took my bro-in-law down to the beach and took a few photos. Got home around 9pm after getting lost in the hills looking for a place to do a long exposure, then opened a beer, put on my PJs and made fish tacos and listened to NPR radio. WILD!
The beach has no name that I’m aware of, so I’ll call it 42 Step Beach since there are stairs there to the sand.

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. In the heart of the 'Style Mile' where designer labels abound, seeing a well dressed young man is not uncommon. I would describe this guy as metrosexual. Nothing to do with sexuality but everything to do with him taking care of his appearance. He wore foundation and a little blusher, was sharply dressed with perfectly tidy eyebrows and a designer hairstyle. If you have style and can carry that style then flaunt it! Enjoy.
