The Old Methodist Church in Cades Cove, GSMNP. I shot this as the Sun was about to go down behind the mountains. I converted this to B&W for submission to a "Ansel Adams" photo compitition next month at my Camera Club. The photo has been Turned Horizontally to mimic what Ansel did with his original print. The spot I shot this from is not exactly correct but, I liked this composition. Let me know what I can do/change to improve on my composition. Thank You.
Rievaulx is a small village and civil parish in Rye Dale within the North York Moors National Park near Helmsley in North Yorkshire
Well know for Rievaulx Abbey which was closed as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry VIII in 1538 but there is also in this tiny village a church, St Mary's the Virgin and this beautiful Methodist Chapel
The former Methodist Episcopal church in the area known as Edenville is now a private home. I shot this a few years ago and made a revisit.
I took yesterday off of cycling, trying to get over this cold. I saw this beautiful church and property/ The yellow seeds floating on the pond is pollen. Even our bike are covered with pollen. It's everywhere. Not good for anyone with allergies.

Bodie, California is a ghost town in the Bodie Hills mountain range north of Mono Lake. It was founded in 1859 and abandoned in 1880 after extracting 34 million dollars worth of gold. At one time it had a population of 10,000. This raw and rugged town had 65 saloons lining its main street. Definitely no place for the timid!

Rievaulx village is situated in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park near Helmsley
We heard about this Church several years ago.We visit it and the cemetery every time we come to the Hill Country. It is 150+ years old.

Methodist Church - Bodie
In my mind's eye, this image had 20-30 meteors streaming all around the steeple. So I spent way too much time light-painting the church for what turned out to be 2 meteors. Oh well, I still like it! The Perseid Meteor Shower was past its prime and clouds kept coming through, so I am lucky I got even these.
