'WINDOW TO THE SOUL'.... an abstract piece completed using acrylic paints on A4 250gm acrylic paper. Width: 27cms x Height: 19.5cms approx.
Painted in July 2024 with the original being signed by the artist. A high-quality digital print of an original abstract artwork, painted using a variety of colours of acrylic paints. Techniques used include painting with pallette knife and dragging paint across the acrylic paper used as the canvas. The resultant piece was formed of multiple layers, finished off with a layer of gold metallic paint.

"Revenge is a dish best served gold." – that Marin is a funny one ;-)
This one marks the half-way point. 27 mechs already this year, time sure flies!
Mech Monday is an ongoing project started by Marin and I with the aim to build and post 52 mechs each in 2019 – one every Monday.
Come join the fun by posting a mech, robot or drone on a Monday. Any Monday. Find everyone's builds so far in the Mech Monday flickr group.
If you want a challenge or need inspiration, next week we're doing “Tracks.”

I had no idea how tarnished this key was!
For the Macro Monday redux theme, I just joined this group two weeks ago, so instead of doing a redo, I picked one of the past themes. I decided to do the April 28 theme of "Metal." I'm really looking forward to being a part of this group in the coming year. Whenever I look at the photos in the group pool, I am blown away! It's a pleasure to be in the company of so many skilled photographers.

Macro Mondays Theme Redux - Metal
I've made these two pendants from metallic gold and sienna polymer clay and included art glass in one and a glass gem in the other. They have a reflective material behind the glass which makes the blue of the glass catch the light and appear to glow. Pretty!
This is a photograph of an art card that I had given to one of my best friends. I felt quite honored when I had gone over to her house and saw that she had framed it.
I'm dedicating this to one of my favorite groups "Everyday is SUNday" to show my appreciation for the kindness the members have shown to me.

A book box looks like a book but when you open the front cover you discover that it is actually a box! I decorated this one with a polymer clay piece of my own design.

Ceiling design not preplanned but put together as I went. I had a whole bunch of stencils, Old Gold, red, black, and metallic Gold paint and went with what felt right. I molded it after many late 19th century ceilings I have pictures of.

This color can be lighter or darker (and even much redder), depending on the factory it was made in and the color it's coated over. This part is an extreme example.
This color is easily identifiable by its matte reflective coating, unlike pearl parts which have no coating.

(I've discovered that using the "cloudy" white balance setting makes the golds come out much more true to color than using the "auto" setting.)
I didn’t realize until sunset that today is the Winter Soltice. Now the days will start getting longer! Yea!
