Miscellaneous
This is a random collection of miscellaneous items that interested me because of their colour or texture or indeed their history. What tales they might tell. This time wood and metal show themselves to be more than just inanimate objects. Once they were beautiful in their own way but time and tide have reversed their fortunes. And they fell foul of man’s indifference.
This was taken at the Isle of Wight Railway, of an old truck, which may in the fullness of time be renovated but lay dormant, their story untold.

This is one of the posts in the old dock, Provincetown, Mass. What history it could tell.
I love the name of this company. This is a pumper truck. A hopper on the back of this truck receives the concrete via a trough from the concrete truck. The arm is extended over the metal forms and a large hose is used to transfer the wet concrete between the forms. Two men stand on top of the wall and guide the hose back and forth to fill the frame. The next day the frames are all removed and voila - just like that you have a 10 foot concrete foundation on which to build your house. It was quite an operation to watch. It took four concrete trucks all lined up waiting, because the pour had to be continuous.
Looking towards the RISE sculpture located at Broadway Roundabout in Belfast, Northern Ireland Belfast.
At least I hope it is. Thought I'd post the more explicit shot of the metal frame which none of us know what it is for.
There were at least 2 or 3 frames and I think I took pictures of 2 of them. Some kind of liquid metal goes through this frame like a sieve I think and eventually the frame has too much stuff on it and is not useable anymore. That's when it gets really good looking. This is all I know :)

From a few weeks ago. I picked up my kids from school and I talked them into taking a long drive since we were still having some decent weather. In return, I promised that I'd keep my eyes open for a park. Finally as we drove through Carnation we found one and my son enjoyed playing on the slides and running on the grounds. We even played catch up and down the slides and other toy structures. I don't think I've climbed the slides in atleast 10 years but we had the park to ourselves and we had a blast. The baby seemed to have a good time too.
It was almost dark by the time we were driving home and the sky was tuning a gorgeous color by the time we drove over this bridge. While the kids slept in the back seat I parked on the side of the road and took a few pictures of the river and the sky. I like this one with the bridge spanning the river the best.
Lots of good memories and I hope to have many more such days.
Cupcakes are my new thing. I'm still waiting on my new logo. So all my "Thank You" gifts will be packaged in cupcake boxes from now on.
Got some products shots of my mini (3x3) accordion albums. This time instead of all images I created a small calendar for the last couple months of the year.
The frame on front is a handy dandy magnet of their family. All they have to do is pull off from the ribbon (it's held on by a glue dot) and pop it on their fridge. The ribbon stays intact so it's toally reusable!
I already had the frames (picked them up years ago for my wedding album HA!), printed off a picture taped to the frame w/ scrapbook tape. Then I used adhesive magnet tape stuff on the back. Voila easy peesy!

This 15-pane metal-framed window is situated in a building in Galien, Michigan, that once housed a milk condensery plant operated by the Elgin Milk Products Company. Started in 1912, the condensery was in operation well into the 1950s, serving 170-200 dairy farmers within a 30-mile (48-km) radius and processing 10,000-20,000 pounds (4,500-9,100 kg) of raw milk daily into condensed milk. According to a 1927 article in the St. Joseph Herald-Press, the condensery was as important to the economy of Galien as Clark Equipment was to Buchanan and Warren Featherbone was to Three Oaks.

Do you like it, partner? This is my first go at a metal frame and while I'm confident in the quality of my sewing, a metal frame hinges (no pun intended) on your glue job. I trust my glue (Scotch Maximum Strength Adhesive) and have used it for other metal projects, but I am lacking the confidence that I have when I send an all-stitched (like a zipper closure) bag. Does that even make sense?
Is the exterior simple enough? I know you didn't want anything overly fussy... The lining is quite a bit more whimsical - if you like that, you can enjoy it. And if you don't like whimsy, maybe you can just close your eyes as you reach into your bag? *laughs*
If you prefer a zipper bag, I can have another go for you. Thoughts?
Hey Partner, I plan to include this with your pouch. I haven't started your main pouch yet because I suck. Actually I procrastinated too long and ran out of time for my original plan so now I have to come up with a plan B.
I hope you like this little coin purse!
Oh and that's not scratches on the frame, it's little glue strings. I'll make sure it's cleaned up before I send it to you!
Flit twitches on the floor, electroshock coursing through her circuits. She consumes the energy and redirects it back at her assailant in the form of telekinesis. She pushes forward with all her might and sends nearby objects hurling toward her target.

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD)
La Jolla, California
N reg cancelled on 15Apr82.
The following is from the museums website.
This Ryan STA was donated to the Museum by none other than T. Claude Ryan himself, the founder of Ryan Aeronautical Company. Mr. Ryan purchased the aircraft from Aaron Berkowitz of Arizona in April 1979, specifically for the Museum, to help rebuild its collection after the devastating fire in 1978. Ryan’s estate officially donated the aircraft to the Museum in December 1982 after his death.
The Ryan ST family of aircraft (including the ST, STA, STB, STM, STK and STW) were some of the most popular and successful lines of civilian sport airplanes in history. First introduced by the San Diego company in 1934, the original ST (sport trainer) design was a two seat, open cockpit monocoque fuselage aircraft fitted with a 95-hp Menasco B4 inverted inline engine. Only five were built before Ryan introduced its peppier successor, the STA. Fitted with either a 125-hp Menasco C4 or 134-hp Menasco D4 engine, the STA helped the ST line reach its true potential.
A total of 66 STA’s were manufactured, with an additional 31 STA-Specials which featured a super-charged Menasco C4S Pirate engine for even higher performance.
The Ryan model STA was a metalframed, wire-braced, low-winged, open cockpit monoplane with seating arranged for two in tandem. Patterned like a racing airplane, the STA was actually a sport-plane at heart, but it could be adapted to train student pilots. The Ryan School of Aeronautics had several model STAs in its lineup and it was used from the first maneuvers of a fledgling pilot to the advanced maneuvers of expert aerobatics. The flying school that used an STA in its lineup was assured of extra business.
The STA was loved by pilots for its speed and elegance and attained international acclaim in 1937. Competing against the world’s best aerobatic flyers, famed Hollywood stunt pilot Tex Rankin flew his Ryan STA to victory at the 1937 International Aerobatic Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. Pilots set transcontinental and Canada-to-Mexico records in the STA. The Guatemalan Air Force armed them, covered the front cockpit and used them as fighters. The plane also saw service in South Africa, Mexico, Honduras, Bolivia and China. The success of the STA led to additional ST variants that featured engines with even higher performance. The military recognized the STA’s potential and, in the late 1930s, placed orders for the trainer derivatives: the PT-16 and PT-20.

NO GROUP AWARDS!!!
Finally time for some stupid shit again lol
STORYTIME:
"You like it here?" the young man in the dirty , bloody labcoat giggled, then dropped the clippers. He had just cut off all of his long silver hair , now looking like someone went over his head with a lawnmower.
"Nono...of course you're not liking it here!" he chuckled at noone in particular but the empty room.
"No, I will shut you up!" he smirked and stumbled out of the hallway and into one of the ruined labs to grab a disgusting looking old syringe and one of the flasks standing on the dirty counter.
"Look look look what have we here!" he hummed, pulling the syringe up with whatever was in there and checked the label on the flask. "Oh this is nice,yes-yes!"
He waves the syringe, the rusty needle looking very, very...oh very very dull.
"Now you're not so cheeky anymore are you?"
He leaned against an old stretcher . It was covered in dried blood. This laboratory hadn't been used in many years. Why would it. Noone probably knew it was here, hidden in Aurora Falls. Not even the Governor or his stupid sons knew about it. Or his pretty little daughter.
"I put a Flower on her doorstep today!" he muttered…" Yes, her. You remember her?"
"Eleonora...E l e o n o r a …. "he chuckled again.
"When I'm a famous surgeon I might marry a girl like her. A pretty one. With nice tits! Hers are big...holy shit!" He chuckled even more.
He kept up making weird noises, a mixture of chuckles, giggles and weeping to himself, blood dripping from the hole where his eyes had still been a few hours ago. His skill on self surgery were not as good as he thought so he also ruined , cut and burned his face when he stopped the bleeding with acid.
He had to do it. He saw things through that eye. He had to cut it out. He had tried covering his glasses on one side for weeks. This drastic step had to be taken. Everyone would've done the same.
He could be a surgeon with one eye. He was good like that. Hell, he could be blind and still be the best. He was certain of it.
"You need to stop talking now. I can't hear it anymore. I don't want to hear your nagging anymore. GO AWAY ALREADY!!! he screamed out the last words
"I wan't you to stop...please." he said slowly and started weeping again. When suddenly he spotted something in one of the corners of the room. Was this what it looked like? He blinked and placed the Syringe on the stretcher.
He always wanted one of those for himself. He forgot what they were called but who cares. It would be perfect for what he had in mind. In mind..oh if that stupid voice knew how MINDFUL that pun just was.
He would be able to think clearly again after he got rid of that voice in his head! And THAT was right what he needed.
It sat there like someone had placed it for him…
"Wait!" he suddenly gasped. "Is this a trap?" he asked into the empty room, his voice echoing alongside with his giggles.
"Nahhhh!" he smiled to himself.
"No it is not. It will help me..oh yes yes yes!" he jumped forward grabbing the headclamp, brushing the spiderwebs off of it. it was rusty and dirty and OH SO PRETTY!!!
"Ohhh precious precious!" he placed it on his head.
"Guess who will come visit you???" he asked. "Yes, I know you are scared now. I can hear it in your voice!" he laughed.
"I will rid you..i will rip you out of my head and then...i will be free and the Professor will want me on his Team and I will become the greatest surgeon everrrr." He screwed it tightly to his scalp, the metalframe pressing against his freshly clipped head.
"The greatest Surgeon ever!!!" he howled again.
"Oh you want to stop me? of course you do heheh!!"
"Nooooow!" let's do this you nasty Little bugger!" he grumbled, placing the tip of the drill on top of his head.
"Try to survive this!!" He yelled and started to turn the Lever...once twice...the tip slowly burrowed through his hair, got caught in a longer strand he had left but ripped it out with the next turn
Suddenly:
"Ahhh resistance!!" he laughed.
"I shall conquer it!"
He turns the drill again, then screams out in pain.
"Oh you hate that don't you???" he screams and takes another turn.
Screaming out in pain he stumbles against the stretcher, climbs onto it.
"There there!" he howls and turns the lever again, blood flowing out of the hole the rusty drill produces as it squeaks and scratches as it burrowed through Skin and bone.
The Young man laughed and screamed, fell backwards onto the stretcher and grabs the Syringe that was still waiting for him.
"Ohhh no! You will stay awake now!" he howled, staring at the syringe as his head drops backwards.
….
"WE FOUND HIM!!!" a voice suddenly shouted through the Hallways.
"DOCTOR TIKHONOV!!!"
A tall, broad man with dark blonde hair on a weathered, concerned face came running into the room, acompanied by two men in hospital clothing..
"Oh no!" he shook his head, Looking at the moveless Body on the stretcher, a hole drilled in his head, his hair clipped off and a syringe stuck in his neck. "He was my most promising student...what a shame" He sighed and ran a hand through his short well kept beard. "You two, bring Mr. Rosenberg back to the Hospital. I'll be there shortly.
The men stood, staring at the body, their faces twisted in Terror.
"He was so Young..." one of them stuttered…
"Yeah, seventeen and already writing his doctorial. Guess that career is over!" They shook their head, pulling the limp body off the stretcher and out of the room.
Professor Tikhonov looked around the room for a Moment, then turned around, Looking at two other men who stood by the door motionless. "Seal off the whole complex. Noone, should ever again set a foot in here!"
"Yes Sir!" They said in onison.
