We have a festival called Barnaby taking place at the moment, and there were street performers in the town centre at the weekend. This boy stepped forward in his football shirt and I just knew it would make a great photo :D.

Update - 8 Jul 2014 - this photograph place 9th (out of 700 photos) in a photocrowd contest, winning an expert review and a crowd vote award. I'm thrilled!
With the ill health of his sister, Messi has been in the shadows a bit lately. Nice to see him out in the sunshine.
Whoever holds the string holds the power. Rossi is currently in charge, but Messi will get his chance...
This is THE object that inspired me to get serious about astrophotography. Although I imaged for about two hours, I only found about eighteen decent frames after throwing out the bad ones that were clouded out. I was not expecting much from such a small number of frames, so this image was a surprise.
Andromeda Galaxy will be well-placed for some time to come, and I learned a lot that will be useful the next time I attempt to image it. Looking forward to a clear, dry fall evening about a month from now.
