He was staring up at the mantel where we keep Pixie's ashes in a box. We think he was watching her ghost dancing along the mantel without knocking anything over.
The reason why I walked 15 km in the wild last night, all by myself during the midnight sun, on a place I'd never been before ツ
This impressive Alta Canyon were my goal, but there were so many amazing moments along the way too. Nice crooked birch trees to take self portraits by, large groups of cottongrass, blueberries and mountain flowers, nice reflections and rivers - all in the amazing light of the midnight sun. I also came across a bird of prey coming to its nest in a tree close to me, and its offspring flying around it.
I wondered how it would be to walk among all the large mosquitoes that are known in this northern part of Norway - but they obviously disliked my blood just as much as the small ones we have in the southern part of the country ツ There were many flying around and sitting on me when I stopped to take photos, but I didn't get a single bite (!)
Now we are back by the coast, and will go to Norway's fourth largest and really beautiful island tomorrow to photograph and enjoy fjords, mountains, beaches and the midnight sun.
My album of Norwegian summer landscapes here.

Also from the Austria flickr meet-up. This is Erica and she is not only beautiful but also so much fun. I guess she was the one person who made everybody smile and her aura somehow makes every room even more positive :)

A great dance pack, with smooth movements and a lot of flexibility, combines with different rhythms and songs. With the song Mesmerize, I composed the video that shows how each movement was captured with great quality and realism! I just loved it! Thanks, Sync!!! Again! ♥

Have a great Sunday and thanks for coming by.
I originally planned to shoot at Point Dume tonight, but they were shooting Chuck there, so onward I went to El Matador. I'm really glad I went there instead, since there really weren't many clouds in the sky, and the small bit I saw at El Matador was in the perfect place during sunset.
I wanted to get this shot without any people in the scene but I thought the park guest (and the stroller) added a little bit of "human element" to the shot. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
Merry Christmas

As I walk through the fields I pause and let my orb take it's path. The sun catching it, drawing me in, to mesmerize me.

Millet at Sunrise. I could have really used a split ND filter here but alas, I did not have it with me. Lesson learned. I lot of light pushing here. Thanks for the look and have a great evening.
If I had to choose a gaze that I find truly mesmerizing, I would have to pick that of the leopard. Eyes that seem as wide a saucer with an iris of brilliant green encircled by a rim of golden foil. It’s a gaze that seems to pierce its subject to the core, freezing them in their tracks. I have more than once stared intently into the eyes of a leopard at close range. The sheer power and determination of its glare inspired awe as well as trepidation and I felt truly lucky to be in the safety of a vehicle at the time. #Leopard
A stunning sunset two days ago. Luckily the winter hasn't got a hold on us yet. The wet shoes are still with me, but the mosquitos are all gone :)
