Located in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, Mesa Arch is without a doubt one of the scenic icons of the southwest. To witness sunrise here is awe inspiring to say the least. As the sun rises over the distant La Sal Mountains, the morning light bounces off the canyon floor and turns the underside of the sandstone arch a fiery red. A decoração foi planejada nas cores branco, vermelho, fende e nude. O vermelho foi usado nos detalhes como: guardanapos, sousplat; por ser uma cor forte utilizamos apenas nos detalhes para dar harmonia. A suavidade ficou por conta do branco das capas de cadeiras e das flores naturais dos arranjos. Optamos também por usar dois tons de toalhas (fende “tom claro” e nude “tom escuro”) mesclando entre o escuro e o claro, prevalecendo os tons claros. Valorizando o colorido das flores secas e de outros mimos, para iluminação cênica optamos pela cor âmbar (esta cor da uma sensação de luz de velas), conseguimos mesmo assim usando cores fortes, mas na medida certa dar um ar romântico e provençal.

A wildfire broke out near the La Purisima Mission State Historic Park. The blaze burned 320 acres in the Burton Mesa Preserve, and despite threatening 1,200 structures, none were damaged.

This is actually from my second trip out to Mesa Arch, two days after the first trip. I wanted to get a pic of the sun peeking over the horizon (which didn't come out as well as I had hoped). Some people already beat me to the area (another photography group) and the only spots left were this one on the far left next to a bush and the same spot I had two days before on the right. Also, everyone had set up about 5 feet further back from the edge than we did two days before. While I wanted to move up and set up nice and close, the photographers who had gotten there earlier would probably throw me off the ledge to preserve their pristine shots. I decided to stay back.
