Je continue la publication des photos prises lors de notre voyage sur la Côte-Nord.

Ici, c'est le joli petit village Baie-Johan-Beetz avec 86 habitants.

La région a connu un terrible incendie en juillet 2013 qui a ravagé 600km carrés et a failli raser tout le village.

Johan Beetz (1874-1949) est un naturaliste canadien et homme d'affaires d'origine belge.

Another great month has finished and I used the late afternoon for a trip to the Hücker Moor. As other lakes and rivers of the area the swamp has also been affected by the dry Summer. Spenge, Ostwestfalen, Germany

The Hücker Moor is a nice little lake in the Herford area (Northwest Germany). Peat was cut here more than a century ago and created this lovely landscape. Today the place is a great location for wildlife and worth a trip for the local folks in all seasons.
