One of the most interesting parts of Glasgow with its mix of small individual shops and galleries in the old merchant houses.

This street features two of my favourite hobbies. Boardgames with Static Games on the right and photography with Street Level Photoworks on the left behind Transmission.

Street capture from Glasgow, Scotland.

A previously unpublished shot from August 2019. In the many years I was shooting street regularly in Glasgow I only got hit by flying pigeon droppings once. Definitely lucky though because being overflown like this was a common occurrence. I love that there is a gull refusing to join in with these pigeons. Enjoy!

Surrounding the tower is Sadar Market where many locals and tourists sell, buy and hang out to people watch.

The abandoned Farmers and Merchants Bank—built in 1896 and featured in 1967's "Bonnie and Clyde"—looms in the blue sky over Pilot Point, Texas.

A result of the replacement of the first of three spans on the Merchant's Bridge, Terminal's Bremen Job, symboled T302, returns back to Madison via the MacArthur Bridge early on a Tuesday morning. After shoving down the High Line and past Gratiot, just across the river in Missouri, the crew now descends the North Approach of the bridge after climbing up directly following the West Belt Job with a relief T301 crew onboard. The Bremen Job switches a variety of industries near Bremen Avenue, just North of the city and South of the Merchants Bridge. This detour around the city just about quadruples their travel from Madison to the Bremen Ave. area and back.

I love going into the city at night I love the atmosphere as its all lit up and this is the archway that leads into temple bar of Dublin the lively part of the city on the left is I think one of the most beautiful pubs the merchant arch I will go back and take the beautiful staircase the next time I venture into the city.

As always many thanks for your likes comments etc and have a lovely week and I hope you like my weekly photo ;)

Merchant Square at night on a long exposure. We were hoping to get some interesting colours from a sunset, but unfortunately it was too overcast.

Terminal's 201 Job ascends the Merchants Bridge departing TRRA Madison Yard en route to BNSF Lindenwood Yard. Leading the charge is TRRA's last standing Tunnel Motor, still in the solid red paint scheme.

The 1890 era Merchants Bridge is undergoing a multi-year, multi million dollar project to replace the approaches and the superstructure. For now, traffic continues to roll over a single track of the double track bridge. TRRA has a reliable Mon-Fri job that runs over to the Central and West Belts in St Louis. Summer sun favors the north side of the bridge. All it took on this 90+ degree evening were bikes for the kids, a jug of water and a bit of a stroll down the bike path that parallels the Mississippi River.

A lemon merchant offers his fruits at the Krishna Rajendra Market in Bangalore. In the picture I like the contrast between the bustle of the visitors and the calm yellow-green of the fruits in the bowls.

Previously unpublished shot taken during the Glasgow 'Merchant City Festival' in July 2019. The theme being that of a Venice Carnival as this stilt walker marched on by. Enjoy!

Southern Railway Merchant Navy class steam locomotive 35018 British India Line. She is pictured here heading south at Aisgill summit on a wet and dull afternoon on Thursday 8th September 2022 - shortly before we heard the dreadful news that The Queen had died. A very sad day: one that will remain in my memory forever. I will always associate this spot with passing of The Queen.

The Merchant Hotel on Belfast’s Waring Street was the headquarters of the Ulster Bank for a century and a half, and since 2010 has been a luxury hotel.

Bank Directors Robert Grimshaw and James Heron visited Glasgow and Edinburgh in 1857 to glean as much information as possible on the best banking buildings. It was their earnest wish that the building should appear elegant, substantial and prosperous. The location was deemed eminently suitable being, as it was then, in the heart of Belfast’s mercantile and commercial centre.

The Glaswegian architect James Hamilton designed an imposing building in High Victorian Italianate style executed in Giffnock sandstone. Sculptures depicting Commerce, Justice and Britannia, look down benignly from the apex of the magnificent facade.

The Merchant Hotel is located in the Cathedral Quarter nightlife district.

>Sunlight spills onto a Havana street corner, illuminating a vibrant display of tropical fruits. A weathered merchant, his face a map of stories, presides over his colorful bounty. More than just a vendor, he seems to embody the spirit of the city – resilient, vibrant, and brimming with the sweet taste.

One of the good things about these Covid lockdowns is that they leave you with time to build!

This one has been progressing slowly over the last months, and uses some old partial WIP's that I had lying around. The arches at the base are from an abandoned Summer Joust monastery scene, and you might recognize the tower WIP that I posted here a while ago!
