je tente de rattraper mon retard dans mes visites,

après mon escapade à Paris...

bonne journée à vous !

This building is really one of my favourites :o)

Another re-edit from my trip to England in November 2012

It's probably getting to be 10th year since I first took her portrait back in September 2006.

One decade in a blink of an eye, and the girl became a beautiful lady.

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Behind Glass".

My idea this week was to find a suitable jar and drop a Mentos into it while it contained a fizzy drink so I could capture the bubbles created by the reaction.

The jar I found was just about in the size requirements but would mean a square crop to be legal as I wanted to show as much of the jar as possible. I had a smaller one but I thought it was too small for the subject.

After setting up a light stand and soft box it was just a case of filling the jar with a suitable drink. Coke or Dr Pepper works best but they are coloured drinks and for the purposes of the photo I required a clear one. The trick works with any fizzy drink though so I filled the jar with 7-Up and duly dropped a Mentos in.

I refilled the jar a couple of times for another go and eventually ended up with a few frames that I liked and one of them you can see here.

Museums of Contemporary Art are almost by design obligated to radiate a level of haughty pretentiousness, and this tasty Castillean collection won’t let you down.

Four agreeably austere concrete boiler rooms contain a bilingually unexplainable collection of everyday artefacts, grainy monochrome projections and hand drawn linear crayoning.

Alternatively, you could skip the interior and view the building from outside, perhaps investing the 3 Euro entrance fee on ice cold refreshment served by the gallery café’s own groovy moustached Salvador Dali lookalike barista. Ole!

Macro Monday's and the theme of "High Key".

A bit late again this week. I must start planning my photo much earlier than Monday evening's.

Earlier today I bought my son Louis a couple of packets of Mentos when we went into our local store. While looking for a subject I came across an empty pack and three of the sweets close by. This became my subject and placing three of them on top of one another onto a white board was my starting point and I decided to use the empty pack in the background.

I shot at f/8, f/11, f/16 & f/22 and f/16 was my preferred capture as the name can be easily read on the pack.

In an almost deserted town in the Navarrese pre-Pyrenees lives Mento, this blue and yellow macaw.

As he gets bored in his town because there are only three old people living in it, in the afternoon he goes for a walk to find other livelier places. And that's how I found it one day when I had gone out looking for some Saxicola rubicola and I found this surprise.

He ended up getting so confident that he went to my head and started chewing on the camera strap. And so I ended the day, without having found native birds, but having felt like a real pirate.

Same church as the B&W version just left in color.

Doom on the Brain, Doom on the brain.

Mento: Inspired a bit by Numbuh1Nerd's excellent rendition, with some guidance by FeelOkay (seeing a pattern?). Makes me wish Lego made cherries in Silver.

Codpiece: Belt by Brickforge, the rest is amusingly self-explanatory.

Not much to say on these guys, but so it goes.

Lemme Know what you think!

...the doggy knows there is a stranger who is holding a Camera....:)
