Our doubts are traitors,
and make us lose the good we oft might win,
by fearing to attempt.
William Shakespeare
Out walking Brinkley, I often passed her, without her knowing who I was. She knew my voice from our professional relationship on the phone, but not my rumpled, morning countenance. All I really knew about her was that she was born in Japan but now lived and worked in Canada, a respected scientist. She was always deeply lost in thought. Brinkley and I let her be.
I took this picture while riding in the car about 70 miles per hour down the highway (my husband was driving) on the way to a recent neurofeedback appointment. Sometimes I bring my camera and see what I can capture as a way to cope with my severe mental health struggles. This tree, all alone, reminds me of how I often feel as a result of experiencing devastating traumas and severe mental health struggles. And somehow it feels a little helpful to make an image like this.
I saw this in a tutorial somewhere... so i tried to do something... and well... here it is... bahhh o.O

For many creatives, the drive to make art comes from an unexplainable part of their psyche. They’re just born to express their inner minds through any means possible, even if that means spending countless hours on their craft. Contemporary French artist Margritt Martinet is one such artist that just needs to draw, no matter how long a piece might take her. She renders large-scale, futuristic cityscapes in pencil and ink that take years to complete 🤔
The Danish West Coast is a curing experience for my soul, very soon I will spend a fortnight there to charge my batteries. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark.

I was going through my photostream earlier this morning trying to get my images organized into groups when I got the bug to take a mental vacation back in time and work some images I thought were "lost" due to some extreme lighting. During my break I spent quite a bit of time learning to process better, and it has helped. This shot when I took it I was excited, but 2 years ago I couldn't wrap my brain around how to bring out the wonderful details in the distance, but now I can. Thanks for looking.

Bouche-moi ce trou, 2018,Anita Molinero.
The idea that while the rook and knight appear as tactical roles on the surface, their shadows reveal the regal forms of a king and queen—suggesting they share a hidden, unified desire for power or recognition. This contrast between external function and internal identity evokes a shared psychological narrative, where the lighting becomes a metaphor for revealing the truth beneath the mask.
With this series of images I'm hoping to raise awareness of mental health and stop the stigma, when it comes to mental illnesses. Stay strong!
