...they are sometimes the best – or worst – part of our lives as humans; these precious memories linger until the end of our days...
At 30, I certailny look back at these happy, sometime sad moments... now I wonder what memories I'll have at 70?
~~~
this is not me, btw (lol)
Added 2GB of Crucial memory 3 weeks ago (Mar. 20, 2007) and it's been running smoothly. I've made it dual boot as well by installing Windows XP since then. I didn't notice much of a difference in performance on the Mac side since I haven't really been using it to its full potential ... yet. But when I boot up Windows, it seems to load up faster and runs quicker. It was a noticeable difference from 1GB to 2GB of memory when using XP.
Painting a special day with colourful memories. Hope they would never fade...
It's funny how things work out. the past few days I've been in such a blue mood that I couldn't take anything I'm proud of. Today, I spent the day at my grandparents house.
First, I can't express enough how much spending time with my grandparents makes the world that much better around me. they're such simple kind people who have loved each other for years and still till this day treat each other with utter respect.
Second, my grandma kindly gave me the keys to their old house which is slowly deteriorating. She told me memories of war, family and just life. It was my share of much needed inspiration and I'm so grateful for that.
We keep our memories of the beautiful moments that have gone through the photographs and put them in a beautiful frame of our gratitude so that the light of our views always illuminates a part of our past that has gone into the darkness of time.
New trend for Winter 2023 - a stylish wide-cut dress made of simple coarse fabric and large accessories, such as a belt, which give the main accents. We want to show a moderate but creative lifestyle, without pretentious glamour, and we choose natural fabrics and materials for our clothes. This is very important. To give my outfit a festive look, I added a small but very colorful set from HJ, which is very reminiscent of bright holiday lights and puts me in a good mood.
It was November, 2014...
So much to say, so many good things to wish for you all, but most of all, peace and harmony to you and your families. During these days of celebration and cheer, I usually stop and think about this special celebration, and how people show the best that they have inside, unique smiles on everybody's faces, and something else that I can't describe...
Another new year is around the corner, and I can't help to go back and think about the events that took place in it. Some of them brought smiles to my face, but so many others left me really concern...
We can make a better world for future generations to enjoy and leave in peace. Every little thing counts. Remember the ants? They are so small, and yet they can accomplish some much together!
Love and happiness to ONE and ALL!
Martha.
"So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young..."
( John Lennon )
Almost one year ago today I took this picture on the border of Bahrain with Saudi Arabia...had I known then that I would be leaving my world and life behind to move to the US, I would not have believed it and yet, here I am, with this memory of that day impressed on my mind. These reflections are my reflections of what a difference a year makes. (no photoshop by the way)
EXPLORE #282 of 9 March 2010
I took a number of photos of this little boy when we were travelling through the Atlas Mountains six years ago.. For some reason I keep going back to them. That he is alone suggests confidence but also a sense of lonliness. His clothes are too big and his game of hula-hoop struck me as endearing because it was so far removed from the plastic fast and ready toys we see everywhere in our society.
I wander what has become of him..
Here's to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we've been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
'Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you
