The Old Lady is hundreds-year-old - but according to some, at least 280-year-old - Pedunculate Oak (Stejar Quercus robur L.) near Festetics Castle in Dég, Fejér megye, Hungary. It is part of the nearly 300-hectare castle park, built in the early 1800s, which is the largest English park in the country. The Old Lady is one of the guest welcoming attractions. Worthy of the beauty of the place. This time, she dresses in beautiful clothes!
Része az 1800-as évek elején épített közel 300 hektáros kastélyparknak, ami Magyarország legnagyobb angolparkja. Az Öreg Hölgy az egyik vendégfogadó látványosság. Méltó a hely szépségéhez. Ilyentájt ő is szép ruhába büjik.
The Lajta/SMS Leitha en route from Szentendre to Százhalombatta

The Lajta monitor museum ship (ex SMS Leitha - SMS: Seiner Majestät Shiff, the german equivalent of HMS) is the last surviving warship of the imperial-royal Austro-Hungarian Navy. She was built in the 1870's as a river monitor, specially designed for the river Danube. Leitha and her sister ship, SMS Maros served until 1918. They fought during the occupation of Bosnia (1878) and in the Great War. After the war Leitha served in the Red Army of the Hungarian Soviet Republic and was renamed Lajta (the Hungarian name of the river Leitha). According to the peace agreement of Trianon (1920) the new Kingdom of Hungary was not allowed to have warships, so the Lajta was sold and was rebuilt into an excavator ship. She worked on the Danube until the 1970's. A few enthusiasts found her in a very bad shape at the end of the 80's and rebuilt her to reflect Leitha's shape in the 1880's.

A Leitha rövid ideig a Tanácsköztársaság fegyveres erejében is harcolt, amikor is átkeresztelték Lajtára. Évtizedekig dolgozott a Dunán, míg végül lelkes civilek a '80-as évek végén az újpesti kikötőben megtalálták a rozsdásodó hajótestet. 2010-re sikerült felújítani, és 2014-ben került méltó helyére; a Parlament előtti Dunapartra. A Lajta az 1. Honvéd Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Ezred Hadihajós osztályának tiszteletbeli zászlóshajója.
Tóalmás, Hungary
Designed by Lajos Ybl, Renata Wahrmann had this mansion built between 1894 and 1895, preparing for the worthy celebration of the Millennium (the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian Settlement). The luxurious Eclectic-style mansion of fifty rooms still stands as it did.
The entrance hall is ornamented with an arching, double staircase, a inspired of the stairway of the Paris Opera. A glasshouse, built as a then-fashionable metal-framed structure, was built onto the mansion, which is surrounded by a landscaped garden.
In the first half of the 20th century, until World War II, the mansion was owned by the Counts Andrássy, who kept it for recreational and hunting purposes.
Since 1989 the building has been rented by the American religious foundation Word of Life (Élet Szava). The castle gardens are under conservation order and can be visited upon prior appointment with the Foundation.
Andrássy-kastély, Tóalmás. ( A Tizedes meg a többieket itt forgatták, legalábbis a külső helyszíneket).
A Millennium méltó megünneplésére készülve 1894-95-ben építtette Wahrmann Renáta az ún. Bócz-kertben ma is álló fényűző 50 szobás eklektikus stílusú kastélyt, Ybl Lajos tervei alapján. A kastélyban az előcsarnokot íves kétkarú falépcső díszíti (a párizsi Opera lépcsőjének másolata). A kastélyhoz - egykor divatos fémszerkezetű - üvegház csatlakozik.

A magyar név ismét szép lesz, méltó régi nagy híréhez! - Petőfi Sándor, Nemzeti Dal.
The Hungarian name will be great again,
Worthy of its old, great honor. -Sandor Petofi, The National Song
The Nemzeti dal ("National Song"), written by Sándor Petőfi, is the poem that is said to have inspired the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. Petőfi read the poem aloud on March 15 in Vörösmarty Square in Budapest to a gathering crowd, which by the end was chanting the refrain as they began to march around the city, seizing the presses, liberating political prisoners, and declaring the end of Austrian rule. Hungarians celebrate the anniversary of the revolution on March 15. Red-white-green ribbons are worn to commemorate the fallen revolutionaries and the ideal of the revolution.
Post Palace. Built in 1911-13, architects Ambrus Orth and Emil Somló.
Sopron, Postapalota.
A magyaros szecesszió egyik legszebb, legnagyszerűbb alkotása.

She is now moored next to the Building of the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest and she is open for the public. Lajta is the honorary flagship of the remaining Danube Flottila (1 EOD and Warship Regiment) of the Hungarian Defense Forces

Évtizedekig dolgozott a Dunán, míg végül lelkes civilek a '80-as évek végén az újpesti kikötőben megtalálták a rozsdásodó hajótestet. 2010-re sikerült felújítani, és 2014-ben került méltó helyére; a Parlament előtti Dunapartra. A Lajta az 1. Honvéd Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Ezred Hadihajós osztályának tiszteletbeli zászlóshajója.
