Melanie is a Glasgow based photographer and film director. She patiently posed for me at this south facing entrance Argyle Street station recently.
Yesterday I was at Staunton Harold with a friend and I took this photo of Melanie just before the rains started.
That is the newly cleaned church tower just seen there in the background.

I really needed this photoshoot, i was actually starting to get bored with my photographic abilities. When Melanie contacted me for a senior shoot and expressed her excitement and wanting to do it at the beach, i was ecstatic. The last few sessions i have had have been sort of boring. Everybody wants the same thing, a field or a hill, the same poses, so it really felt like work to me. I was just working through the motions, but this shoot was different! It was a photo adventure! :). I was really feeling it that day too, consider this a preview i guess. I have a Bio midterm i should be studying for right now, so i dont plan on editing any more photos until friday, but enjoy this photo for the time being. It was a quick edit i threw together last night after frantically trying to finish my physics hw due haha.
5D + 35L (so sharp!) I recommend one of these lenses to everybody and their mothers.

This was such a great shoot.
I have another roll which the store developed but never put on a CD (they put the same roll on two different CDs, so Im thoroughly pissed) so my mom's going back next week to get it fixed.
But from what I can tell on the contact sheet, that one will be much better. :)

This is Melanie Crowe, Steven Sites' friend from when he went to school in Pittsburgh.
This is my first successful expansion! After three attempts of merging and Steven finally getting a hold of my computer to finally figure out what was going on, we successfully created this image!
I am so proud of this image and I am so excited to share my success with you.
Steven is such an amazing friend; I feel like he is pushing me in a very subtle way to be better.
