I'd been to a black tie do at the Brewery by the Barbican, got home late and had a leisurely Sunday when I finally woke. Listened to the Archers in the bath, went to Havant to pick up a pair of glasses and then to the farm to do a little work on the Robur.
Got back on the island and popped into the cafe. From being a debonair man-about-town the previous evening in DJ and cummerbund I was now resplendent in dirty jeans, an old NVA winter jacket and wearing the alluring man-perfume of stale petrol and old grease.
Dee didn't seem to mind though, got the usual cheery welcome. They are no longer curious or fazed about me photographing what gets put in front of me, just accept me as yet another eccentric customer.
Note the upside-down squeezable HP bottle. And the food? My "standard" mega without beans. Great value at £4.95 with a large mug of tea included.

This is the caff closest to me so of course today was the first time inside, ever. Decent mega breakfast with tea and toast for £4.80 and a bottle of HP squeezable to delight the guys at www.brownsauce.org (Hi Brad!)
