Today The Chicago Blackhawks gave the fans a chance of a lifetime to take a picture with The Stanley Cup. I stood in line for 4 hours & the thrill of standing next to The Stanley Cup only lasted 40 seconds but it was worth the wait. Alright Blackhawks, let's do it again next year.

This is the more casual side of St. John's Restaurant in Chattanooga, TN. I loved the vibrance of its red and green in the starkness of winter.
Plans sometimes change. As I left work today, I found myself standing in the pouring rain next to my truck, which wouldn't start. Long, stupid story short, I borrowed a friends car to go get some jumper cables and found myself with 25 minutes to spare before I had to be back at work for a meeting. The rain had let up temporarily and so I grabbed my camera and was off. I had time for one location, I just didn't know where that location was. I moved towards the foothills, found an inlet, hiked up a ways, found some interesting foreground, and had time for two comps. While both are far from perfect, they show enough promise to head back when I have more than 10 minutes of actual shooting time.

Western and Central Africa Ministerial Roundtable: Walking the Talk on Gender Equality
The empowerment of women and girls is central to achieving sustainable and inclusive development. Over the past decade, countries across Western and Central Africa have made considerable progress in accelerating gender equality, including by promoting girls’ education, championing legal reforms, improving livelihood opportunities, and developing more inclusive financial systems. However, much more needs to be done to deliver results at scale for an equitable tomorrow.
Against this backdrop of existing gaps, opportunities, and crisis-induced headwinds, this high-level event put the spotlight on actions that can accelerate the empowerment of girls and women in favor of growth, shared prosperity, and social cohesion. The Ministerial roundtable featured country delegations and partners sharing innovative initiatives and reaffirming commitments to accelerate progress on gender equality, focusing on pivotal interventions such as investments in adolescents, multi-sectoral approaches, and undertaking policy reforms.
