I will be diving into medium format photography soon. I went to Pictureline a couple of days ago and purchased some Fuji Velvia 50 120 film to run through the Seagull...
And yup, I am still trying to catch up on my 365 project. I wish I had more time to take pictures. :)
Shot with Nikon D700 and Nikkor 50mm f1.4G

Wet plate photographer Shane Balkowitch was creating a piece of history with this shot in Bismarck. As he was busy setting up, I took my Kodak Brownie Six-20 Flash and snapped this photo on some HP5 medium format film, which was respooled on a 620 reel.
Here we have another shot of the Replica Bridge, but this time taken with my Rolleiflex Model D Twin Lens Reflex. The larger 6X6 cm negative results in an improved result after processing. Grain is finer and tonal transitions are smoother. Film is the same as used for the earlier 35mm shot. Prince George, BC. Mar 16, 2021.

Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!
John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.

Yes, I have a thing for classic Volkswagens. I also have a lot of expired film to burn. Results are somewhat disappointing with some of the batches I bought recently, but hey, it's fun to squeeze as much out of them as possible. In general though, moderately expired film (this picture e.g. is taken with 14 years expired Fuji RMS 100/1000) is still very usable, depending on the brand. Don't get fooled by the the (too) high contrast, this shot was underexposed, my own fault.
In my humble experience, Fuji and especially Kodak and Ilford, will still be excellent after 5-7 years.. Expired Agfa film is poor, and Konica film is downright terrible. YMMV of course. Also, fast film (faster than ISO400) deteriorates a lot faster. I now am shooting a batch of standard Kodak ISO400 from 2007/2008 and that is as good as new.
Another photo from the un-loved Yashicamat. After hauling this camera all the way to Mexico, setting up the tripod and shooting several rolls, the results were lackluster. The Yashicmat was sold to a photographer who was thrilled to have it...

It's a medium format panoramic camera. You'll get 4 frames out of a roll of 120 film.
Once upon a time I had this photo related discussion with our CEO and he mentioned he had a medium format camera that takes 6x17 format. I told him I have not seen one and he said he's going to bring it to work one of these days and he did recently. I wish I had more time with it. Maybe next time, with me asking nicely, perhaps our CEO would let me have it for a day or so. Still lucky to get to see it, photograph it in our lunch room and get a feel of what it's like.

Last spring break (yep, it took me 9 months to develop the film and 3 more to scan it) I went to Boston, Salem, new Hampshire, and Maine to visit some of the most incredible people I have ever known. I've made it a point to travel places where I know people because they are helpful, courteous, and so fun to be around.
Carla took me out to Salem one day and we did a bit of walking around because the weather was perfect. This is one image that I can't wait to print - maybe I'll wait until next spring break!
