Spiaggia La Pelosa is widely considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia and Europe, often described as the "Sardinian Caribbean." It is located at the northwestern tip of the island, on the Capo Falcone peninsula, near the town of Stintino.
Key Features
Natural Beauty: The beach is renowned for its fine, dazzling white sand and its crystal-clear waters that display a spectrum of colors, ranging from light azure to intense turquoise.

Iconic Landscape: The stunning view is completed by the silhouette of the Islet of La Pelosa, which features the iconic 16th-century Aragonese Tower. In the background, you can see Isola Piana and the Asinara National Park.
Regulation and Access (Important!)
To preserve its delicate ecosystem, access to La Pelosa is restricted during the high season (generally from June 1st to October 31st):
Mandatory Reservation: Visitor numbers are capped at 1,500 people per day, and it is mandatory to reserve and pay an entrance fee (approx. €3.50) in advance via the official website or app.
Strict Rules: To prevent sand loss, it is compulsory to use a mat (under your towel). It is also forbidden to smoke (except in designated areas), take sand or shells, and visitors must rinse their feet at the provided facilities when leaving.

through the glass, the grill sizzled with stories. the corn, golden and perfect, rested beside charred cuts, while smoke curled into the night like untold secrets. the glow of the fire danced on the glass, capturing heat, laughter, and fleeting moments.
a couple stood nearby, their silhouettes faintly etched into the reflection. she was wary, cautious of the lens. he, light-hearted, teased her fears. "just the grill," i assured her, aiming past their shadows. later, i showed her the shot. her eyes softened. "it's beautiful," she said, almost a whisper. the moment lingered as the fire crackled on, and the city breathed its familiar hum.

Piazza Pino Piras is an important square located in the historic centre of Alghero (Sardinia), which often serves as a meeting point or the starting location for cultural routes.
Pino Piras (1941–1989): The square is named in honour of the most popular Alguerese poet and singer-songwriter of the 20th century. Piras was fundamental to the survival and revitalization of Alguerese (the local Catalan dialect) through his music.

captured just around the corner from plaça espanya in palma, this image plays with geometry, contrast, and motion. the bold, repetitive patterns of the building’s facade create a striking architectural backdrop, while the zebra crossing guides the viewer’s eye to the man in motion. his casual stride and the paper in his hand add a human element to the rigid symmetry of the scene. the deep shadows and strong light evoke the sharp, sunny afternoons of mallorca, blending minimalism and street photography into a moment that feels both dynamic and timeless.

The Torre del Portal (or Torre di Porta Terra, originally known during the Catalan era as Porta Reial) is one of the most important symbols of Alghero because it represents the only surviving remnant of the city's land wall, which was largely dismantled in the 19th century.
Built around the 16th century during the Catalan-Aragonese domination, this imposing tower was the main entrance to the city from the inland of Sardinia. It was originally protected by a drawbridge that was closed every night, strictly regulating access to the fortified city. Inside, it once housed the stone coat of arms of the Crown of Aragon. Today, the Torre di Porta Terra functions as a cultural space and tourist information point, where visitors can take a multimedia journey through Alghero's history and enjoy panoramic views from the top terrace.

The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Saint Mary (Cattedrale di Santa Maria Immacolata) is Alghero, Sardinia's main place of worship and a fundamental testament to the city's Catalan heritage. Its architecture is a fascinating blend of styles due to various construction phases, which spanned from the 16th to the 19th century.
Key Elements and Architectural Styles
Foundation and Initial Style: Construction began in the early 16th century, and the original design follows the Catalan Gothic style, visible primarily in the interior, especially in the vaults and the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.
The Bell Tower: The most recognizable element is its octagonal Bell Tower (Campanile), an elegant and robust structure featuring Catalan Gothic lines (mid-16th century), built with limestone blocks. This tower is Alghero's most important architectural symbol and is accessible to visitors.
The Façade: The main façade, facing the Piazza del Duomo, is strikingly different, as it was rebuilt in the 19th century in the Neoclassical style for urban reasons, featuring a solemn portico that contrasts with the rest of the building.
The Interior: It has a Latin cross plan. It contains later Baroque elements, such as several marble altars, reflecting the decorations typical of the 17th and 18th centuries.
A single green flowerpot, perched on a whitewashed Andalusian wall, casts dramatic shadows in the midday sun. A quiet composition celebrating contrast, light, and form—an ode to Mediterranean minimalism.
