my daily multivitamin and mineral supplement ... mainly a placebo I think/know but it ticks my daily vitamin D recommendation box which certainly is evidence based.

pictured (in a Leitz Pradovit projector reflector) are a bunch of gel vitamin pills...at first I had a heck of a time trying to swallow these but finaly seems to go down well with some yoghurt! Hence the title 😊
A "horse pill" sometimes mildly humorous, a pill which is very large in size and is therefore difficult for a person to swallow.

I especially like the folded paper (Beipacktext) and never can figure out how they did it.
And yes, my acrylic stand for photography is very scratched :(

Image is 2.5" wide. Fortunately, I don't use these things (yet) for medications. But it's a great item for placing water drops in macro photos.
This plastic container contains my everyday essential medication. It comprises of two 1 inch plastic cubes on top of each other, one for morning dose and one for evening dose.
To date I take a total of 11 medications for ailments that tend to afflict the elderly (Why do they then affect me? LOL), some doses are 2 in each dose, but thankfully these are in the minority.
As I am given 28 days stock at a time, I found that opening each supplied cardboard box every time was a pain in the rear end and sometimes got confused as to which tablet I had taken, I purchased a 28 day medication tray, each day's container as shown here. So I "stock" up this tray once a month, which saves time and is easier to check that each tablet is in the right plastic container. If the cardboard box is empty, and each plastic boxe has one, or two, tablets in I have filled it up correctly. Then open up the next cardboard box. :-)

Lots more packaged medication is coming with information in Braille embossed upon the cardboard or plastic containers.

Hypodermic needle.
Reversed Nikkor EL50 lens, PB-6 bellows. Zerene stacker - 70 subimages at approximately 60µ intervals.
The needle was inserted through a black foam board - the Luer-lock hub end was then illuminated by a speedlight and snoot, with light spilling out the bevel end. (this resulted in a pure oval of light in the bevel...) A small amount of fill light was added from the front right to clarify the subject.
The initial magnification was 3.5x, and the image was cropped. The bevel is 5mm in length - the image is 6mm (0.24 inches) in greatest dimension.

Update on Hilda and I. Her injections have not given her the relief we hoped for. The medication they gave me for my heart is not working. We are going to get Drs appointments this week. I don't know when I will be back on flicker. Thank all of you so much for your prayers. I sure miss all of you.
Macro Mondays theme Medication. This is the medicine cup from my nebulizer. In it is, Ipratropium Bromide and Albuterol Sulfate. You did ask for medication. This is one I don't use anymore. It's the real thing. It expired last month.
the old photographer,;-) The cup is about 3 inches. With cropping it down the frame is around 2 and a half.
No matter how I feel when I first prop my eyes open early in the morning, I always come alive and feel positive when I am out in the quiet countryside seeing the sights.

We took a day trip to Los Algadones Mexico and learned something interesting. Evidently Los Algadones is very well known as a town for tourists from the US and Canada to come to for dental work, medications and eye glasses. Cheap prices, good work, and many of the clinics accept US insurance!
This is a typical street in Los Algadones and I count at least 10 different signs for dental offices. If you're curious just plug these numbers into Google Maps and see how many you can find:
32.71340805178894, -114.73698994533632
It seemed strange to walk into the town and get touted for dental work, medicine, and glasses not cheap trinkets. "Hey buddy, you need a good dentist"? "Lady, lady, best pharmacy in town right here"! "You looking for Botox"? "1 hour glasses, we got them here". "Come inside, we've got medicine and liquor here".
The touts were really hustling for customers because no one was walking the streets. It was 106 Fahrenheit (41 Celcius) outside a little warm for a casual stroll.
Interesting little town, evidently it gets packed in the winter with the snowbirds. Don't think we'll be going back any time soon and no, we didn't get any dental work!

"PETE 1" is a symbol for Polyethylene Terephthalate. It is assigned the Resin Identification Code "1" and is the most common plastic used for single-use bottles because it is lightweight, strong, and clear. It is widely accepted for curbside recycling and can be repurposed into items like carpet fibers, fleece, or new containers.
"C11" is a manufacturer's code mark to indicate mold number, production line, or factory batch and is helpful for quality control especially if a defect is found.
