The "Moonwatch" with removed watch bracelet. Its the Speedmaster with saphire top- and bottom-glas and Omega 1863 calibre.
This Minerva is from around 1950 and still running strong.
I'm not a fan of Roman numbers, but do like the overall watch. It is in balance and successful with the look they wanted to give it.
Of-course it has the famous caliber 48 made by André Frey. He designed it with the "golden cut"

Watchmaker fixing a watch (Mèo Vac, Vietnam)
The Orient "Automatic" wristwatch seems to be very popular among local country men (it's a mechanical watch that does not needs to be rewind, it rewinds itself when moving).

First day of work after daylight savings time change is always interesting especially on the roads. This was taken with a Contax 28mm f2.8 reverse coupled onto a Contax 50mm f1.7 attached to the Olympus E-PL2 by a C/Y to m4/3 adapter. Quite high of a magnification, but you lose useable focus and aperture setting. You can only focus by repositioning the camera and stopping down at all produces heavy vignetting leaving you with just a small little imaging circle. I think I prefer my macro lens, but this definitely gives higher magnification if you can make it work. Working distance was only about an inch from the front of lens setup.
The manufacture says it has sapphire for the front glass, we'll see how good it stands up to the abuse of daily living.
Having said that, I haven't had a single watch with scratched front glass...

Another nice Minerva. This one is rather small but she is a real beauty!!
The caliber is a 49 made by André Frey one of my favorite watchmakers of all times!
Look at the sweet dial, numbers, case!!
