On a meadow among the rabbitfood clover (Trifolium arvense) and light.

Die Vielfalt des Sommers ist immer wieder beeindruckend. Farben und Formen überbieten sich in ihrer geradezu.

The variety of summer is always impressive. Colors and shapes are almost immeasurable.

"..to see the lovely ladies closing

before the dimming evening light,

the dancing is only suspended

with the swinging into night.

And even of tomorrow, I will not be far away;

for this meadow dance it carries

to the sunshine every day."

After 2 hours of laying in cold wet mud and sand the Pipits got very confident and came extremely close, as this image shows ( not cropped ). I managed a few images I was really happy with, but especially this one. East Mersea Island.

Worn Common Buckeye butterfly at rest.

Migrant from southern states. Presence irregular, year to year. They can be everywhere. Last year, I did not see any.

The gorgeous light seen from my parents house. This is my favourite spot to sit and listen to simple silence.

Det underbara ljuset som man kan se från mina föräldrars villa. Det här är min absoluta favoritplats för att sitta och lyssna på tystnaden.

Looking good in the morning light

I believe these are meadow anemone, an ephemeral or commonly a forest flower short lived before the tree canopy prevents the light from hitting them so they will no longer grow.

They look like they are reaching the end of their bloom but still hold their beauty.

Many thanks to those who comment on my photo's and/or add them as favourites

Silhuettes of the season

My first time to Grand Teton National Park and I was awarded with the first snowfall of the year back in early September. I shot this from quite a distance away from the mountain range as some low lying clouds were clinging to the tops of the giants. My thought here was to try to capture the bank of trees and the meadow that leads up to Mount Moran. I converted this to monochrome in silver efx of the nik collection. A bit more interesting in larger view as well.

On this very windy afternoon I hiked my favorite area, watching the big clouds roll over my head. It was about 38 degrees, winds gusting from the northwest over 40 mph, and amazing cloud drama!

I have taken many photos in this area over the years, but each season, time of day and weather provides another opportunity! :)
