After a rainy Tuesday along the front range, Wednesday morning's sunrise was a delightful sight and just what I needed to start my day.

Yesterday's magnificent sunrise overlooking McCall Lake, Longmont, CO.

It’s very rare that I’m down along the front range close to sunset, but last week I was traveling home from a late afternoon doctor’s appointment and just happened to have my camera with me. It had been stormy on and off all day, but right before sunset, the clouds parted just enough to capture this beautiful scene of Longs Peak and Mt Meeker from McCall Lake. I always joke with family and friends when they come out to visit that my house sits right in the middle of this scene where the mountains meet the trees. Have a great evening!!!

Definitely loving the new camera, it's a blast to use and is just plain nice to hold.
Hopefully soon these clouds will get on their merry way - I want to get back into the mountains!
As I mentioned in my previous post, here is the another one at Payette Lake, McCall, Idaho which gives different perspective of the Lake side gorgeous view with frozen lake and Sun giving the Star effect!! Shot at around 3:45 PM. Enjoy !!!

The pearlescent Full Cold Moon sails toward the horizon as sunrise illuminates the Longs Peak massif near Lyons, Colorado. From left to right the massif comprises Mount Meeker (13,868 ft; 4,227 m), Longs Peak, with its signature diamond cloaked in shadow (14,259 ft; 4,346 m), and Mount Lady Washington (13,245 ft; 4,037 m). The tangerine glow of morning was astounding for a few fleeting moments. A flock of Canada Geese also bore witness as they huddled on the ice of McCall Reservoir in the foreground.

McCall Lake on HWY 66 in Longmont Colorado. There were a lot of opportunities at this monment with the clouds moving and the wind changing the ripples on the lake. I have a few other photos taken during the same 15 minutes, and they all look different. I will post more later.
