Custom First gen Mazdaspeed3. Full wrap and slight mods to make it not only an eye popping car but also very fast one. Sneak peak shot, more to come later.
Kyle's Mazdaspeed3 with a fresh coilover install. Rocking 18x9.5 Battles, this car looks too good.

I had the privilege of shooting Evan's car for Canibeat a little bit ago. The feature is finally up so I can share with you all the complete set! Some of the photos in the set weren't used so you can only find them here!

98 shot pano taken at 200 mm f2.8, combines in CS3. I had to compress the photos significantly so CS3 could merge all the photos without crashing. Resulted in some nasty jpeg artifacting in the large version. Next time i'll have to remember to shoot at a lower quality setting
Still practicing the whole pano thing, I think my focus was a bit off on this attempt

Since the weather is dirty and dingy, I figured a grungy edit was in order.
Thanks again to Zach for wanting to shoot my car!

Would like to say right of the bat that light painting a black car is DIFFICULT to do. It took me maybe 5 shots before I could get an idea how to properly light the car and highlight as much of the body lines as possible. Also another down side is how hard it is to see the detail in the car but I think over all this image was pretty successful. I wanted to get a little bit more creative with the locations rather then just photographing in a parking lot. We ended up taking the car to a spot where there was a huge drive way with some grass on ether side. I'm pretty pleased with the way the grass was lit by the lights surrounding it not too over or under exposed. Another challenge I faced was lighting Kyle's wheels seeing as they are a more bronze matte finishing there was not much light to be reflected off unlike DJ and Nicks car. To over come this problem I walked a bit slower when it came to lighting the wheels to try and pull out as much detail as possible. I even noticed that I was able to pull out some interesting detail in the brakes and tires which look awesome!
Post processing went for 4-5 hours for this edit I'm about 90 percent happy with the out come I think I'm going to later revisit this image to tweak some very small thing. Please if you have tips and tricks on how to light paint darker cars just let me know because this is something that I'm going to need to do a little bit more research on.
I finished this image at about 2:30 AM and I was so immersed in my post processing that I forgot that I didn't even eat dinner. hahah Man I love photography also there is nothing like eating dinner at almost 3 AM and having to go to class at 10 AM the next day
