After too many years, I finally took the time to built this superb X-Wing form Inthert.
A tad fragile, but truly sublime, just missing a dozen pieces to finish it completely
But…… it’s kind of awkward when the, really ought to be overhauled, Millennial Falcon does not fit in the driveway.
I came across this scene while walking Dweezil this morning. What were the neighbors thinking when they bought that old clunker? I know it’s supposed to be user friendly and all…. (I’m really just jealous that I didn’t get to it first.)

MoC for a contest on BrickPirate
The subject was the Force so I represented jedi under attack by their clones during Order 66. The objective was to show that lightsabers were useless and only the Force could help them, By using it to prevent debris from falling on them, to thurst clones into walls or to stop blaster bolts.
Size limitation was 16x16, I could have use a bit more.
My dad and I saw Star Wars for the first of multiple times @ Graumann's on May 25th, 1977.
I had never been to such an event before and it was so packed, we had to sit separately. This was a point of anxiety as I was just a kid. I kept looking around in the direction where he was sitting but I couldn't see him for the forest of people. But then the lights went out, the curtains went up, the famous crawl began and I was utterly immersed in a galaxy far, far away.
After the screening my dad and I ran wildly through the lobby looking for each other. I still remember the excited gleam in his eye and the silly grin on his face. I don't think either of us could stop talking about it as we headed on over to Pickwick Books on Hollywood Blvd.
Pickwick was a book hoarder’s paradise, a musty old bookstore full of new and used books. It's long gone like most bookstores today but it was the place where my dad once bought me a copy of Ralph McQuarrie's book of concept art from the movie.
Years later I lost my dad -- not in a movie theater -- but to cancer. So this memory is one of my fondest shared experiences with my him and one I will treasure forever.
That summer I wrote Carrie Fisher a five page fan letter and sent it to her agent through an address I got from Rona Barrett's "Hollywood" magazine.
A few weeks later, out of the blue I received this huge manila envelope addressed to me on "Planet Earth" with the return address from "L. Organa, Alderaan". I was like: WHAT? Alderaan is gone!
Inside was this photo with the sentiment "For Tanja, May the Force be with you. Love, Carrie Fisher".
I think the coolest and most meaningful part of this gift was the fact that she spelled my name right. Growing up with a weirdly spelled name was the bane of my existence and I was mercilessly teased about it until I grew up and into my name: "Tanja" the diminutive for "Tatiana" which means Queen of the Faeries!
Carrie kept me on her mailing list for subsequent film releases and I was always the first kid on my block to get a signed autograph picture from her with a preview of the latest costume to copy and wear proudly on Halloween as unfortunately, there was no such thing as cosplay before the dark times -- before the empire.

The All Terrain Armored Transport, or AT-AT walker, is a four-legged transport and combat vehicle used by the Imperial ground forces. Standing a towering 15 meters tall, these walkers are intimidating, and are used as much for psychological effect as they are for tactical effect.
An AT-AT has blast-impervious armor plating, and resembles a gigantic beast as it moves across the battlefield. An AT-AT's head carries the main armaments, a pair of light blasters located on the walker's "temples," and heavier, twin laser cannons mounted on the walker's "chin."
The command crew pilots the AT-AT from the walker's head, which is connected to the main body by a flexible neck. The crew consists of a commander, a gunner, and a pilot. Additional crews and troops can be carried in the walker's main storage bay.

//Since 1997 the ANC government has used various methods to fend-off criticism. These have run from attacking motive to bullying, obfuscation, bullshitting, lying, and outright denial. Over time civil society and media became inured to these tactics. Meanwhile, our gaze is shifted away from places where the ANC would prefer it not to wander. One of these is the way in which the ANC funding vehicle - Chancellor House - has been cut-in on massive contracts for the building of the Bravo and Madupi power stations. The other relates to the way in which the Eskom's racial obsessions were responsible for last week's massive black outs.//
