Fire alarm! I had another photo taken in my parking lot but it felt a little bit too tonally similar to the last photo. Was walking back into the apartment when I spotted this guy against the wall. I liked the contrast between the white, black and red.

I've had both this shirt and these boxers since high school (15+ years) and they still serve me well. Since I work from home I basically wear this type of thing all day.
Mystic Tarot Secrets - everything I know about the cards came from this little 75 cent booklet. Okay not really.

I went through a long phase where my afternoon snack was Triscuits (the Hint of Salt kind) but I started eating saltines recently instead when my stomach was having problems. I'm not really a salt person — I like a little, but I don't like really salty things, so I get the unsalted tops type of saltine, which are just right.

Baby Cheddar with dried apricots, pistachio, almond, pomegranate, dried cherry mix. :)

Kitty grass!!!! Time to grow some, our baby Chloe is boo-hooing at the dried bits of the last time we grew some. :) I've never seen a cat like ours, she'll bark at me if she knows it's sprouted in the window until I get it down and give it to her to ravage.
Day 3: My favorite 2-minute #healthyrecipe: hard-boiled egg whites, lots of dill & a pinch of ground mustard. I add 1/4 tbsp light miracle whip if I eat it on bread/in a pita.

Challenge: FUN
On May 4th we had breakfast at the motel and then headed to Darek's parents house to load the POD.
Blessed with a robust constitution and enough genial optimism to make Pollyanna seem the grouchiest of cynics, Mr Gnome nevertheless knows a thing or two about dealing with the personal consequences of being just that little bit different from the majority.
For some it's about the beard. Others, unaccountably, feel threatened by the hat: so red, so pointy, so there. And for a tiny, but vocal, minority it's simply that he's 'not one of us'.
And though you'd hardly credit it from his jaunty demeanour, he's no stranger to the cold drench of name-calling and the harsh slap of rejection. Not nice.
Of course Mr G is also extremely (don't even think of mentioning numbers) well struck in years, and such foolishness is as water off a duck's dorsals. He shrugs and moves on, his self-esteem intact.
But he's keenly aware that things can be very different for a young gnome, taking his first faltering steps in a world so overpoweringly dominated by Human Beings.
Consequently, he's endlessly sympathetic to younger members of his 'community', who view him (to his modest abashment) as something of a role model.
No surprise then, that Mr Gnome is dismayed by all forms of taunting, bullying and persecution - whether subtly disguised, or shamelessly overt. Not fair, Not good. Not acceptable.
Minutes after I left the chiropractor this evening. MUCH improved on solid ground. Surely I will not be limping tomorrow! I think these peeks of my magenta sweater are funny.

Swimming. I'm not VG at swimming - but I enjoy it massively. In 2005 I took part in a swimming holiday (www.swimtrek.com) in the Greek Islands. A wee bit challenging for one. But thanks to kindly leaders and huge encouragement from fellow-splashers I completed several of the island-to-island swims. Happy expression here is result of having breast-stroked all the way from the wee town in the background.
