The head is a high color European malibu that I rebodied with a mod era Japan Malibu body. The skirt was not sold here in the states, it was also a European market issue.

Took a little trip to the “beach” at Pt. Woronzof to drive RC Rock Crawlers today. I took a doll and my camera along and have some cool photos to sort through!
This doll was salvaged from a garage sale box of dolls. Her head is a vintage Heart Family Mom (I think a bath time fun version??) and I put her on a WWE Superstars Doll body.
I don’t know if her baby was in the box with her, I can check, but she certainly has no husband... not really a Heart “Family” anymore then is it?
She gives me single girl vibes, anyways! (She reminds me of the badass vampire character: Diamondback from the movie Near Dark.)
I am blown away by this doll. The whole line is all sorts of amazing -- the street looks, the fresh packaging, the totally affordable pricepoint--but this Ken is the showstopper. I only hope Mattel keeps this line alive for a while.

This Is A Sure Sign There Gonna Be Dolls! This Is An Official Pic, They Never Even Mentioned Their Names Or Say Which 1 Is Which, But I Luv Em! xxx :)
Always played with my She-ra dolls, ignoring the characterization of the cartoon versions...and tho more warrior- like at playtime, I embraced the "frilly/fancy" details of the actual dolls.
Twyla arrived home today. I did not like her much when I saw her pics - she looked too generic, even her haircut was ... meh. But since I am a completist with MH characters I had to get her.
I am pleasantly surprised with her, she is cute and sweet. And yes, although nothing stands out that much, I do like her quite.
Thanks to the site "We Play with Dolls" for posting this! www.weplaywithdolls.net/blogs/mattel-modern-madness/
Saw the news and hopped online to Mattel and this was the only one available to order at first, but she is the one I would have chosen anyway. I really love this sculpt, her face and hair are beautiful and aside from maybe hoping for a tad more on top, I do believe they did a lovely job of making a plus sized Barbie which is still very attractive. It's pretty cheap plastic however with very pronounced seam lines and that odd poked hole in her lower leg shown in unboxing pictures. But flaws and all I really do love this doll and several others in this line. My favorites are the Made to Move line of Barbies. But I really must say scars and all I really do love this Curvy Barbie - Sorry for the quickie shots outside - its Cold and Windy!
