Another fun little introspective shot, which reminded me a little of the Matrix owing to the led shop lights that help give this a little more interest and depth.

Fun with reflections at the "Kranzler Eck" in Berlin's City West. The new Kranzler Eck (Kranzler is the name of a famous café, "Eck", short for "Ecke", means corner) was designed by Helmuth Jahn of Jahn/Morphy Architects, was built between 1998 and 2000. It so falls into the same era as the first Matrix movie. The glass architecture, especially with the reflections and the shades of green, reminded me of the movie (and also of a maze), and since three bee colonies live on the roof of the new Kranzler Eck, it reminded me even more of the movie, hence the title ;)
Please note: The lens info shown in the EXIF is wrong. This image was not taken with the Laowa 6mm lens (which I'd borrowed just before this walk from my Mom, magrit k.), but with my Laowa C-Dreamer 7.5mm lens. I had forgotten to reset the camera's lens info settings for manual lenses.

Perhaps they knew I love challenges and LOVE to play with images...lee.stephens and KpriceWicked challenged me to do a self portrait with the theme "The Matrix".
for their Self-Portrait Project Pool...Never mind that I was crazy busy...Heck this was fun stuff... I went to town!... Be sure to check their work out too!
I knew in my head, starting out, how I wanted it to look. I loved Keanu Reeve's backbend, but as in most things I do, it starts to strike me as funny, hence the shots of my laughing like crazy... Decided to leave those in even without that "Don't mess with me look."
Trainer at my gym said I should do that kick jump. In my outtake, but I thought it looked too much like the 'Karate Kid" so chose to not use it.
I decided to do the Matrix code panel in sets of three's, cubes and spheres...There is a theory that I was going with (a whole other story). I tried darkening my hair in PS, which actually I liked, but they did say "Self Portrait."maybe real, and how I look now?
I spent two days trying to find pictures from a job I shot on the roof of LA's tallest building, the Library Tower but the negatives are somewhere in their own Matrix, in my office files
Chose a metal texture for the background, highlights, on the outfit to give it the shiny leather effect like what "Trinity" wore.
Shot in studio with a white seamless, which I later cursed myself for doing, and wished I'd used my black background, as it made it difficult in cutting and pasting. The black would have saved a lot of detail work and I would have gone to bed before the morning paper arrived!
I used:
Three strobes, one with a green gel (which I ended up not using) Cordless shutter release, (which helps a ton when shooting a SP like this), Nikon D700 with 28-85mm lens.
This is George's take on the classic matrix move. I think he watches too much TV (no really, he does). In this photo he is jumping for sand. I don't know why he does it...when he catches a clump of sand he doesn't seem to enjoy it. But in any case, it makes him happy. :)

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and forty seven metres at 15:40pm on Thursday 8th November 2018, off Þingvallavegur 36 in the Þingvellir National Park (Thingvellir National Park) in Iceland. Situated East of Reykjavik, this is the location where the Alþing (Althing) parliamentary general assembly met between 930 CE and 1798. It has been home to a church for over One thousand years.
The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates with cliffs and fissures such as the Almannagjá fault.
Here we are looking over a body of water known as Þingvallavatn (Þingvallavatn lake). The lake has a surface area of 84 km² and a depth of 114m and lies partially with the national park. The only outflow from lake Þingvallavatn is the river Sog.
