I had a "photo free" day. I walked around and experienced things with my eyes and not my lenses. Plus it was nice not to look like such a tourist for one day. Normal street clothes, no bags. Awesome. Pamela had some work to do and an exam in late afternoon. I walked around stephansplatz and did a bit of window shopping on graben (vienna's most expensive street) and saw alot of interesting things. Women walking by very fast with big shopping bags from Versace. Oh yes, for those interested there is a huge 50% sale at versace, so that nice dress in the window is now 600euro instead of 1200.
Lots of interesting antique shops, and very VERY expensive jewelery. I noticed that jewelery follows a standard mathmatical curve; cheap jewelery is ugly, mid-priced jewelery is beautiful, but then expensive jewelery is ugly again...
I spent most of the afternoon at a sidewalk cafe just next to the Pestsäule on Graben. Where i had my cafe latte and pint of beer. I sat there for a good 2-3 hours and noticed how interesting it is to study all the tourists. I have to say for me in Vienna its different this time. I dont feel like a tourist.
After i went to the Universität and met with pamela, ad we went to have supper at a very nice restaurant where the chef is the owner and boss. He personnaly prepares your dish from scratch and even brings it to you. Quite nice.

I was going to set up a symbolic picture to set up the results from the Democratic Party, but grocery store here in Salem is closed, and a bag of Wonder Bread was required for Edwards. Instead, you get a shot of my new office being haunted by the night's big winner Barack Obama.
The numbers:
Barack "Ooh, I get to make a speech" Obama: 38%
John "I'm really white and came from a mill, get it?": 30%
Hillary "It's FINE, really" Clinton: 29%
Everybody else: Dropout%
Now for the Republicans, I put this in terms of delegates, but apparently for the Democrats, these numbers actually don't correspond to actual delegates. These are the percentage of delegates for the state convention that will select the uncommitted delegates for the national convention... or something????? If you look at CNN numbers they've actually awarded more Clinton delegates unofficially than they did to Edwards even though he beat her. And this doesn't include all the "Superdelegates", of which Clinton had a commanding lead before today even started. Best case... Obama may have staked a moral claim to 3 more uncommitted delegates from Iowa than Clinton... out of the 4000 some odd delegates you need to actually win... or something.
Conclusion: I am not nearly drunk enough to think about the mechanics of the Iowa Caucus sensibly. I mean, thinking that Iowa is important in any mathmatical reality based universe is like deciding someone won a hockey game because they took the opening faceoff.
Bah... I know, it's all about perception, and the fact that without these results, the media wouldn't be able to wildly extrapolate in order to tell the rest of the population what they should be thinking about the election. Why is this good?
Ok. Sleep now. When I get up tomorrow morning(ish), I'll figure out where I'm going.
Alright, this is the really really cool thing I learned in math today. Basically, if you have a set of numbers that you are raising to some power (Fear my lack of any math terminology), (a+b) ^n, for instance, you go to the line of the triangle that correspondes to that number and use those numbers as the coefficiants for the final equation.
Then, the a degrees go down from the nth degree to zero, and the b degrees go up from zero to n, and it's all good!
And then you get ice cream. :D

The Concentric Code pieces are organized harmonic forms manifested as street sculptures, the result of an energy interacting with the physical world. The intent of these pieces is to show the visualisation of vibration in complex patterns and forms. Fundamentally the formations are created by the grid consciousness that creates our reality, messages that reflect creation. Creation by sound as reality manifest by sound harmonics.

This Kmart opened sometime in the 1970s (I think) and closed permanently on Sunday, April 27, 2014, with its liquidation beginning on Sunday, February 9, 2014.
March 14, 2014 (known to many as Pi Day, mathmatically speaking) happened to be the day of my second time checking out the Xenia Kmart's liquidation. As told by the big signs inside, discounts were 20%-40% at least. More shelves were seen completely bare, but if I recall correctly no fixtures had been removed yet.
I have less photos from this visit because I wasn't there as long, but it's definitely better than nothing! (Heck, this isn't even my shortest visit!)
