Levantarse a las 4:45 para fotografiar esta conocida localización, y más después haber estado un par de veces en ella es de locos. Ahora pensaréis que viene el pero, pero no. Es de locos. Solo los que lo vivimos con la misma intensidad me entenderéis. Seguramente si hubiera ido 1 hora más tarde no hubiese conseguido este ambiente en edición, aunque la verdad es que buscaba otra cosa, pero se dio vagamente. Intenté alguna panorámica y alguna otra en las pozas que hay detrás del puente, pero con lo que me gustan estas atmósferas no me he podido resistir.

Ya hace algún tiempo que he dado libertad a mi cerebro para disparar en horizontal. Cuántas fotos chulas habré perdido por la tiranía de Instagram. El limitarte a disparar para ellos (o lo que es lo mismo, a trabajar gratis para ellos) coarta nuestra creatividad. En esta ocasión he querido centrarme en los colores, en concreto verdes y morados. Hawnby Hill Crag

Hawnby is a small crossroads village and civil parish in Rye Dale in the North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire, England.

John Wesley - visited Hawnby in 1757

After staying in Osmotherley he "rode over one of the pleasantest parts of England to Hawnby".

Así te sientes y se ve el mundo desde allí arriba. El cordal de los montes de Valnera con el Castro como techo y emblema se divisa al fondo y se disfruta desde las alturas. Primera foto editada de las varias salidas que hice junto a @mardonss y @alberto.lopez.7355079 estos pasados días de fiesta. Con ellos da gusto salir de excursión 😊

En cuanto a la foto es una panorámica hecha a 25mm para que los montes del fondo tuvieran algo más de presencia y de más de 100 fotos bracketing incluido.

Destacar un par de cosas:

1. Tuve que repasar uno de los valiosísimos video tutoriales sobre el manejo de ptgui de los muchos que tiene @ivanferrerofotografia para colocarme en la foto con una facilidad pasmosa. Gracias Ivan!! Su canal de YouTube y discord son una maravilla. Súper recomendables ambos.

2. Es la primera foto que edito siguiendo parte del flujo de trabajo que @danielvgphoto me enseñó hace ya unos meses en un one to one y que no había tenido la oportunidad de practicar aún. Contactar con el si queréis dar un salto en la edición porque es un gran profe. Súper recomendable también

Unas montañas que se intuían lejísimos (la foto está hecha a 600mm). Sierra de la demanda desde Urkiola. Cubiertas completamente de nieve y flotando sobre un inmenso mar de nubes. Yo sueño pensado que son los Andes 😂😂. Where Rachel, where?? 😂😂. Con la compañía siempre bien de @grulla_otonal_photo @alaingarciago y @polophototime

0 grados, lluvia, viento, nevada, muchas nubes bajas que dejaban ver el monte intermitentemente, y un rato con solo muuucho frío que nos permitió salir del coche a intentar unos pocos disparos. El viento no me permitió dejar el primer plano tan “crunchy” como me hubiese gustado, pero como me pasa muchísimas veces… una excusa más para volver la próxima primavera, eh @mardonss ?

The castle is situated on the Laich of Moray, a fertile plain that was once the swampy foreshore of Spynie Loch. This was originally a more defensive position than it appears today, long after the loch was drained.

The motte is a huge man-made mound, with steep sides and a wide ditch separating it from the bailey. The whole site is enclosed by a water-filled ditch, which is more a mark of its boundary than it is a serious defensive measure.

Duffus Castle was built by a Flemish man named Freskin, who came to Scotland in the first half of the 1100s. After an uprising by the ‘men of Moray’ against David I in 1130, the king sent Freskin north as a representative of royal authority.

He was given the estate of Duffus, and here he built an earthwork-and-timber castle. Freskin’s son William adopted the title of ‘de Moravia’ – of Moray. By 1200, the family had become the most influential noble family in northern Scotland, giving rise to the earls of Sutherland and Clan Murray.

In about 1270, the castle passed to Sir Reginald Cheyne the Elder, Lord of Inverugie. He probably built the square stone keep on top of the motte, and the curtain wall encircling the bailey. In 1305, the invading King Edward I of England gave him a grant of 200 oaks from the royal forests of Darnaway and Longmorn, which were probably used for the castle’s floors and roofs.
