First of all, Merry Christmas everyone! :)
I needed a couple of swords for some minifigs so I wandered onto the Brick Forge website a few weeks before Christmas. The minimum order was $10, so I decided to also get myself armor for the Master Chief. A lot of people go with the sand green armor, but that was unavailable, so I got the dark green, which totally works for me - I picture the Master Chief as a darker green anyway (but in the Halo 3 pictures, his armor looks lighter and sometimes more brownish).
Single exposure, 3 SB-80s: CL wall/ceiling bounce; two on left side of bedroom, one bounced high off white closet door and one wall/ceiling bounce. There's some flash reflection on the right side of window...didn't catch that on camera LCD (maybe it's time to join the CamRanger ranks?)
Wish I'd have gotten more of a 2/3-to-1/3 comp. I'm thinking I had a reason for not panning more to the left...but now I have no idea what it could have been :-)

In the late 50's and early 60's Channel Master radios were made by Sanyo (Japan). This radio was made in Taiwan, I'm guessing early or mid 70's. Unsure of the manufacturer.
I'm a fan of many of the transistor radios from the 1970's. After some pretty dull, rectangular radios in the mid to late 60's colour and shape made a big comeback in the era of platform shoes, over-sized lapels and polyester leisure suits.
DCF77 Master Clock
Uses Arduino ATMEGA 328 IC, 1" Max2719 controlled 7 segment display with I2C 4x20 Yellow LCD information display.
Displays auto activated by PIR detector and auto brightness is set by LDR.
The DCF77 signal is decoded using the fantastic new DCF77 library written by Udo Klein.
An afternoon at the Science Museum. I can highly reccomend Thursday afternoons after 3pm as the time to go. It was wonderfully empty.

June 13, 2009 we are having a Rededication of our Lodge. Ten years ago our two Lodges merged to Form Paradise Valley Silver Trowel #29. The Charter Master of the new Lodge was hosting the event and he asked the last sitting Master of Silver Trowel #29 and the last (living) sitting Master of Paradise Valley #61 to speak on behalf of their respective Lodges. I'm the last sitting Master left from PV61 and my term was 1997. Looking at the men I was representing, the men who taught me and helped me and who should who should have been up there in my place was a very sobering experience. One that made me humble and yet proud at the same time. When I began my journey on Feb.16, 1972 I never thought it would lead here and beyond.
