Well I decide to post this picture before the hurricane hits up here in Jersey. Hopefully my house and diorama survives. Anyways, I drew inspiration from Firespray1138's Reach style Master Chief. I tried to be as accurate as I could to the colors and armor detail, so hope you like it.
...wait, you both stood up...

Attacked from behind, Master Chief quickly realizes he cannot draw his weapons. Mustering all the strength his suit can provide, he prepares to take on the enemy.

Master Chief is a FIVE inch action figure. Looks like the Golden Age Atom gets another arch nemesis.
Saturday. Baltimore Comic-Con 2011.
So I mistook Master Chef for Master Chief.
No X-Files. No Married with Children. I don't watch Fox.
This is an exploration of how a few key shapes from well-loved characters are instantly recognisable even when reduced to these simple forms.
My Brute Chopper from Covenant Attack!
A closeup on a few different angles of the chopper and how the Brute rides it.
I started off tonight with some dome rotation. Unhappy with the results I moved on to lighting myself which again yielded nowt worth writing home about. Next up was my mates Halo helmet and the camera back into bulb mode. Light blade wafted around the Chief. and beauty dish to illuminate it. Snooted flash to light the background and strobing torch for the series of flares after changing the aperture to F22.
This is number 275 of my 366.
This is my Halo 3 Masterchief. You might notice that, since being from 3, it has no marks on the top right shoulder? Well it does, you just can't see it.
The reason I made this is because everybody else was... I felt left out D:

Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 is a playable character in the trilogy of science fiction first-person shooter video games Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3.

These are screenshots from a video I made for the SPV3 mod for Halo: Combat Evolved (The video itself has not been uploaded yet. Will be soon). The video plays in the background while the mod installs. The images are also used as backgrounds for the mods loader.
Methods and tools used:
Halo Custom Edition
Open Sauce
SPV3.1.0
Debug Command
Camera commands/Freeze time
Reshade 3.0
- Ambient Light (default settings + lens effects)
- Magic Bloom
- MXAO (tweaked per shot)
- Depth Haze (for certain shots, disabled in-game fog when I used it)
- Marty McFly Depth of Field (tweaked per shot)
- SMAA
After Effects CC 2017
- Film and Camera Lens Emulation (filter flares, lens flares, lens distortion, chromatic aberration, film grain)
- Color Correction (white balance, shadow balancing and exposure)
- Color Grading
I will likely update all of these shots. I am currently working on a 4K version of the video and I am tweaking a couple things in all the shots along the way.
Cosplayer Unknown.
I'm a big fan of the Halo games so creating this image was a real treat for me. I've used a screen render from the game itself for the background on this and adjusted the cosplayer to fit in with it.
I tweeted this to the bods over at Halo Waypoint and they seemed pretty impressed, I've also had a couple of folks tellng me this isn't actually a cosplay but rather a CG render of the character which I can only take a compliment :D
I'm really enjoying playing with Photoshop at the moment!
Now this is a strange mix in my photo styles. It's a composite between one of my nightsky photos and a cosplay photo taken at San Japan.
This photo could help represent my latest road trip, where I spent a week in west Texas taken photos at the night sky, followed by a weekend taken cosplay photos at the San Japan comic convention at San Antonio.
