This is Abby. She is a prodigy at the piano... Greg Maroney, the master looks on. We were blessed to be invited to a house concert at the home of Greg yesterday. Greg's work accompanies me quite often when I process my photography. Abby played beautifully.

don't worry I only have another two hundred photos of this dress and me in it of course.
This reminds me of those old masters I use to look upon in the art galleries. the way the they caught the light bouncing of the heavy duchess satins the low lights in the folds of the materials the pure ostentatious extravagance of those dresses that I longed to wear myself. How I wished I was one of those ladies back then.

The torso is coming along well, if slowly. Luckily all the grays in the world should be arriving at my house soon, in addition to the already huge amount of BL orders I've received. Optimistically, I'll be done with it by tomorrow, but I'll more likely be done by next week.
So I finished the belt, and I am running seriously low on gray bricks and plates. To Bricklink! This is the last WIP photo I'll upload until I get back from Florida. It's coming along slowly, but with very pleasing results! I estimate completion by April or May. Alex, have no fear. A building by me will be amongst those at Brickworld!

This model uses the Winston bigfig arms as fingers and Jenny helmets as fingertips.
Master Builders House was originally occupied by its builder, Alexander Morris, a Beaulieu builder who also managed the Beaulieu brickworks.
Shipbuilder John Darley was resident in 1747 and Master Shipbuilder Henry Adams lived there from 1749 to 1805. Henry's son Edward Adams followed from 1813 to 1849 and his widow remained in occupation until 1852. Henry Adams oversaw the building of over 50 ships for the Royal Navy, including Nelson’s favourite ship, the Agamemnon.
The building was constructed around 1729 and since 1925 it’s been a hotel, originally called the Shipbuilders House. Among the visitors to the hotel in the 1920s was Queen Mary who visited during Cowes Regatta week, and fittingly, during the Second World War the hotel was taken over by the Admiralty.

Here it is, the first and most important part of my Master Chief costume. It is made completely out of Lego except for the visor, which is a modified motorcycle helmet visor. It is also very durable, and although I haven't padded the inside yet, my head fits inside of it.

Thought I'd give underwater a go as I hadn't before and I've been playing a game with a lot of sharks recently so that probably helped convince me :D
I've always found the whole Aquaman/Orm thing pretty cool. ( The brother type version at least) This probably isn't my favourite outfit. The Ray logo makes it look a little campy, but it's probably the outfit that best suits LEGO! Also, as usual, spot the easter egg!

There is a particular place reserved in Hell for those who profit from war and suffering. Dante believed it and so do I. The argument for a just universe is my strongest reason for believing in Eternal Justice. Otherwise the suffering of the innocent means nothing, and I cannot abide living in such a meaningless universe.
In this poster I have made it deliberately hard to read. Red text on a sea of blood. I find it almost physically nauseating to read. I don't apologise because actual blood is being spilt right now.
Bob Dylan's greatest and most bitter protest song needs to be heard again. Listen to this as you read the lyrics I will print out below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEmI_FT4YHU
"Come you masters of war
You that build the big guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks
You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly
Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain
You fasten all the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you sit back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
While the young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud
You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins
How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
That even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do
Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good?
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could?
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul
And I hope that you die
And your death will come soon
I'll follow your casket
By the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand over your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead."
This is the truth and I agree with Dylan's every word!
***BOYCOTT THIS GROUP!**********
I have been banned from a little group called "Worldwide Photography" for posting my opposition to Putin's War in Ukraine. This was just a summary decision announced in this thread.

According to this Admin speaking out against an unjust war is "hate speech". This Admin Putin-lover has even said he will report us to Flickr. If this idiot (Stalin called Western fellow travellers "useful idiots") can't distinguish between a just and unjust cause it shows how deeply flawed and ready for total collapse our Western civilization is. I strongly suggest you boycott this group.
When you check out the Admin's own page you will see it is full of pro-Russian images. www.flickr.com/photos/-eu
I've blocked him as well.
Two young Tawny Frogmouths enjoying the morning sun. These birds can sometimes be quite difficult to find as they camouflage themselves extremely well. The shot was taken from my mother's second storey kitchen window at Morpeth, New South Wales. Australia.
The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both. —James Michener
Took this at a horseshoeing clinic a couple of weeks ago. The clinician was demonstrating how to forge weld a bar shoe. Of course I had to be front and center with a camera to catch the action. I think I might have even learned something too...
