This is a wee safety catch on an antique bracelet. And I just broke my new rule: do not ask my husband for his opinion. Too shallow, said he.

One of the most popular meditation sites near Sedona, Arizona, Bell Rock is considered an Upflow area, best for serenity and spiritual problem solving.
I don't know how accurate the concept of the vortexes is around Sedona, but thousands of people are convinced, and I don't begrudge them that. What I do know is that, in monochrome, the image of Bell Rock from this vantage on Baby Bell to the North, is powerful, when the cloud cover, sun angle, and atmospheric conditions are just right.
This is my interpretation of the Masculine Energy Vortex at Bell Rock in April 2019.

The title is a play on words. As you know in German there are three articles, "das" for neuter, "der" for masculine and "die" for feminine, while you have only one article "the" *.
The river you see here is called "die" Limmat and is therefore feminine and my title describes the black nocturnal river bed of her ...

Even in the less picturesque village of Diano Marina on the Italian Riviera of Flowers, interesting architectural and street photos can be taken. Diano Marina (note the masculine form for the hunting goddess Diana) was destroyed by an earthquake at the end of the 19th century and then rebuilt in a more "modern" way, which somewhat affected the Italian style, which is quite popular with us Alpine northerners.

In the 10th edition of his Systema Naturae (1758) great Linnaeus gave scientific binonial names to Butterflies (Papilio). He drew the specifics from six groups derived from Greek mythology virtually emptying out the list of possible names. Thus our Swallowtail was placed in the group Equites Achivi (=Greek Soldiers of the Trojan War). Demoleus was one of them; he was slain by Aeneas, important defender of Troy. It is unknown why Linnaeus chose that specific name for this Flier, as indeed the specifics for the 200 or so others that he identified.

Autumn wet it was with furious showers. But a small patch of blue in the sullen sky, and, you know me, enough to entice me to one of my forages. The Meuse corridor now is all bleak and gray from Fall and the incessant dry weather this Summer. So I wasn't counting on any flowers. But then I happened on a small clump of Camomile.
He'd beaten me to it, Halictus tumulorum! I watched and almost forgot Olymp shrieking in my pocket: 'let me out! I've got to see this too!' Well, it's a less than common wild Bee. But he catches the eye because of the long antennae; females' are relatively short. I've put in an inset to show that they're orangish on the underside; one of their hallmarks. And look at his proboscis!
