This was a broadcast TV commercial for Marshall Fields from 1993, advertising a fine jewelry sale. I did not produce this video, however I did do all the original photography. I was working for the Dayton Hudson Corporation at the time, as an advertising photographer for the department store division, Dayton Hudson Marshall Fields (which later became Target). Jewelry, and more generally fashion / fashion accessories, was a specialty of mine throughout much of my professional photography career. The imagery here was photographed specifically for this project on 4x5” color transparency film, transferred to and mastered on videotape for the final commercial.

The old Marshall Fields building has a ceiling decorated with Tiffany tiles. It is now a 9 storey Macy's. I wish I could have stayed to shop. One day is not enough time.
