An colorful mix of EMD and GE locomotives pull Burlington Northern train No. 207, a Northtown, Minnesota to Pasco, Washington manifest freight. The 114-car behemoth is passing Scribner siding in Marshall Creek Canyon, about 10 miles west of Spokane, Washington the afternoon of Sept. 14, 1996.
The pathway to the right of BN 7191 is the former UP-Milwaukee Road right of way. Across the canyon is the former SP&S main line.
Marshall, Sons & Co. was a British agricultural machinery manufacturer founded in 1848. The company was based in the Britannia Iron Works, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Early production was of steam engines and agricultural machinery. Later production included diesel tractors such as the Field Marshall, Track Marshall and former Leyland wheeled tractors.
Marshall Point light sits on a rocky point at the entrance to Port Clyde Harbor, Maine. The fog was very heavy. There were working lobster boats very close but could not be seen until the fog lifted some. They were probably within 200 feet of the point.

Forty years ago, MP train DFZ is topping the short hill departing Marshall, TX. A common sight of this time was seeing the r-o-w cleared for the installation of fiber optic cable.

Perhaps best known today from the 1994 Paramount film "Forrest Gump," the Marshall Point Light was established in 1832. The current structure was built in 1857 and marks the entrance to Port Clyde, Maine. It is still an active aid to navigation. The lighthouse was automated in 1980.
The Marshall Point Lighthouse sits at the opening of the harbor for Port Clyde a very charming little fishing village.

Aktuell (02.10.2023 06.00) fährt die „STI POPLAR“ in der Nordsee und wird in 4 Stunden in Antwerpen (Belgien) erwartet.
Typically this west facing side of the Golden Gate Bridge is inaccessible due to water height. Minus tides this week really open up Marshall's Beach so one can walk right up to this massive steel & concrete structure. Fun shoot with Alvin Tenpo .

Decided to go out for the Marshall Local today since there was 4 units on it. The nose light wasn't to my advantage as I had hoped. Here the train passes a local farm. Thanks to the guy who offered a ride, who thought I had car trouble, though I was just a moron being out for a train in this tundra.
