Marshall is our son's French Bulldog. He is a happy and sweet little soul, who can't be blamed for the way he looks...

There is barely any time where I leave the house without carrying around a pair of headphones.

I'm mostly listening to all kinds of podcasts while on the go and they help me being in my fantasy world, head up and a grin on my face.

You can get good images out of the entry level dslr's. This photo was taken with a Canon Rebel XS. I had good glass on it Canon 24-70mm 2.8. At the time my main body was the 60d and this was my backup. Don't be in a rush to upgrade your body, invest in good glass first.

An colorful mix of EMD and GE locomotives pull Burlington Northern train No. 207, a Northtown, Minnesota to Pasco, Washington manifest freight. The 114-car behemoth is passing Scribner siding in Marshall Creek Canyon, about 10 miles west of Spokane, Washington the afternoon of Sept. 14, 1996.

The pathway to the right of BN 7191 is the former UP-Milwaukee Road right of way. Across the canyon is the former SP&S main line.

She loved the sea.

She liked the sharp salty smell of the air,

and the vastness of the horizons bounded only by a vault

of azure sky above.

It made her feel small, but free as well.

Perhaps best known today from the 1994 Paramount film "Forrest Gump," the Marshall Point Light was established in 1832. The current structure was built in 1857 and marks the entrance to Port Clyde, Maine. It is still an active aid to navigation. The lighthouse was automated in 1980.

Another shot from last year's lighthouse trek through Maine.

Decided to go out for the Marshall Local today since there was 4 units on it. The nose light wasn't to my advantage as I had hoped. Here the train passes a local farm. Thanks to the guy who offered a ride, who thought I had car trouble, though I was just a moron being out for a train in this tundra.

The Marshall local ran in decent light for once, so I tried for a shot at this spot again. The greenies have been on it pretty consistently for the past few weeks, but the light wasn't too good, so it was nice to get some sun on them.
