A moment caught during lunch at the art museum

Dog walkers stroll down Slough Hill towards the hamlet of Slough Green. Near West Hatch, at Taunton Deane in Somerset.

Nap time for Natalie, but mommy was sleepy too. Geez Louise I love this man!!

A great marriage is not when the perfect couple comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I slept in yesterday, and Ty unboxed the tree we'd just bought. We never had a tree at our old house. I had surgery days before Christmas the first year of our marriage, and last year we were out of town. I don't know that we're put-the-tree-up-super-early people every year, but this year it feels pretty magical- our first tree in the house we bought this year, our first.

And I'm obsessed with our etsy-found Santa gnome topper.

Chillin’ in our theater listening to music…I’ve missed my loves.😘

Nuremberg (German: Nürnberg) is the second-largest city of the German federal state of Bavaria after its capital of Munich, and its 511,628 (2016) inhabitants make it the 14th largest city of Germany. On the Pegnitz River (from its confluence with the Rednitz in Fürth onwards: Regnitz, a tributary of the River Main) and the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal, it lies in the Bavarian administrative region of Middle Franconia, and is the largest city and the unofficial capital of Franconia. Nuremberg forms a continuous conurbation with the neighbouring cities of Fürth, Erlangen and Schwabach with a total population of 787,976 (2016), while the larger Nuremberg Metropolitan Region has approximately 3.5 million inhabitants. The city lies about 170 kilometres (110 mi) north of Munich. It is the largest city in the East Franconian dialect area (colloquially: "Franconian"; German: Fränkisch).

There are many institutions of higher education in the city, most notably the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg), with 39,780 students (2017) Bavaria's third and Germany's 11th largest university with campuses in Erlangen and Nuremberg and a university hospital in Erlangen (Universitätsklinikum Erlangen); Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm; and Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg. Nuremberg Airport (Flughafen Nürnberg „Albrecht Dürer“) is the second-busiest airport of Bavaria after Munich Airport, and the tenth-busiest airport of Germany.

Staatstheater Nürnberg is one of the five Bavarian state theatres, showing operas, operettas, musicals, and ballets (main venue: Nuremberg Opera House), plays (main venue: Schauspielhaus Nürnberg), as well as concerts (main venue: Meistersingerhalle). Its orchestra, Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, is Bavaria's second-largest opera orchestra after the Bavarian State Opera's Bavarian State Orchestra in Munich. Nuremberg is the birthplace of Albrecht Dürer and Johann Pachelbel.

Nuremberg was the site of major Nazi rallies, and it provided the site for the Nuremberg trials, which held to account many major Nazi officials.

Moontan goes to the beach

Today is my wife's 50th birthday and here is a photograph of her and myself at Fort Loudoun State Historic Park in Vonore, Tennessee from 2019. And, one of the things that I love about her the most is her patience with me and my crazy photography trips to places like this. We've spent many hours over many years on the road and, sometimes, traveled a bit out of the way so I can get a photo of something that may or may not interest her at all. Thank you for your ability to tune out my crazy OCD while on the hunt for photo-worthy subjects (besides yourself who makes the most beautiful photographs of all the subjects I've ever shot!)!! Happy birthday and I love you!!

After a hard day's work or photography

...lets me know that you need me.

With everything going on; two bairnies under two, playing psychologist to the latest batch of trauma-inflicted students, as well as preparing for her Healer exam, Jo and Iain hadn't had much time to themselves.

Thank Merlin for babysitters a mere owl away. Grandparents Carstairs gave them the night off to reconnect as best they could in the wee hub of McDuff.

Sure there was a bar. It wasn't much, but the food was good, drinks even better (ale for Iain and hot cocoa for Jo), and the atmosphere welcoming. But it was when the music started up that they felt as they had when they were both teens - dancing in the halls, and then the wooded trails outside of Inverness and along the docks in Fraserburgh.

Song

We stopped to visit my grandma and her husband on our way to Hot Springs. Gene couldn't wait to show us his bass guitars. They also graced us with a little gospel jam session. They travel to chuches all over Arkansas to play.

Breakfast at Columbia Road Market

by ceejopolis ift.tt/1OgcMFH Our favorite picture from the wedding. #leighjayanniversary #oneyear #marriedlife

While I was shooting yesterday's wedding, he cleaned our house from top to bottom and did all the laundry. I looked up from prepping dinner tonight, and he seemed to be Sunday-ing just right after a busy Saturday (and after dinner he did the dishes...). We're a good team.
