Hannah and Noga wanted me to take photos for their R.E project, so me being extra nice =D I did.
Two sorts of weddings going on here: The traditional..and the modern. Or in other words: the lesbian one.
This was the most fun I've had during a shoot in a looong time. =D

Het maken van een foto begint altijd met het hebben van een idee. Ik vroeg de bruid te springen richting de bruidegom. Na één sprong had ik al gezien dat ze door haar jurk nooit zou kunnen springen zoals ik in bedacht had. Deze foto is dus niet goed. In ieder geval niet voor het gene wat ik bedacht had en wat de foto zou moeten uitstralen. Nu is het een heel andere foto geworden. Op zich niet erg. Soms ontstaan foto's per toeval of doordat iets niet kan of lukt. Dat is een beetje de les die ik mee wil geven door middel van deze foto. Begin gewoon met iets en er komt altijd wel wat uit. Het ene volgt vaak op het andere. Gaandeweg ontwikkelt zich een idee of plan. Natuurlijk heb ik nog veel meer gemaakt met dit idee. Maar dit vond ik eigenlijk wel een hele grappige. Dit is de foto die mijn idee over hoe en wat te maken drastisch de andere kant op liet gaan. En ik dus iets anders ben gaan fotograferen.
Wat je wel onder controle hebt is hoe je de foto maakt. Bij alles foto's die ik gemaakt heb in Bordeaux zet ik de bruid en bruidegom altijd met de rug naar de zon toe. Ik zorg dat ze donker worden van voren. Wat donker is kan ik d.m.v. flitsers oplichten. Andersom gaat het niet. Je begint dus altijd met een iets donker te maken. En dan invullen. Het lijkt heel simpelen dat is het in principe ook, maar toch is het daarbuiten in de felle zon altijd net even iets lastiger. Sowieso al om de zon onder controle te krijgen. En dan er nog voor zorgen dat je flitsers zichtbaar zijn, hun werk doen, maar ook niet weer teveel.
Het zou een leuke oefening voor de vergevorderde cursisten kunnen worden. Toch maar niet. Het is best wel lastig en ook ik moet echt in dit soort situaties heel erg geconcentreerd te werk gaan.
Jammer dat er door de transpiratie en inspiratie er geen overzicht foto is gemaakt. Hoe alles er bijstond en wat er bij komt kijken. Twee flitsers en een doek om licht weg te houden. Anders kreeg ik de jurk echt niet onder controle door het erg felle zonlicht.
