Built in 1973 by Hall, Russell & Co Ltd, Aberdeen (yard no. 960) as JURA for the Secretary of State for Scotland. Renamed CRISCILLA in 1988 when sold to the Marr Group of Hull.
Sold in 1989 to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauretania and renamed N'MADI, remaining under Marr management. Reported broken up in Portugal in November 2001.

It’s been 26 years since we last visited Australia on our honeymoon. We intended to go back for our 10th and 20th anniversaries but life had other things installed for us and our 25th was cancelled because of family health problems. But we finally made it for our 26th anniversary on the 4th October.
I thought it at the time, and this trip has only reinforced my belief that Australia is a far more advanced country with a positive lifestyle and culture to be envied. However, right from the outset, and I mean the moment our A350 touched the ground that Australia has gone out of its way to recognise its first peoples with acknowledgements at every opportunity, although the referendum result has totally contradicted this so let’s stay away from all of the politics.
I’m in two minds whether or not to post in chronological order or pick out the best images due to over excitement. However, here’s my first image take on day one in Melbourne… I’ve got over 2200+ images to go at plus several hundred taken on my iPhone.
To reinforce my point above here is the accompanying text to go along with the image.
“Birrarung Marr – We respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of the Kulin Nation. This special place is now known by its European name of Melbourne. Today, Melbourne is one of the great multicultural cities of the world, a significant meeting place. Birrarung means ‘river of mists’ in the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri people who originally inhabited the area and ‘Marr’ equates with the side of the river. The Melbourne City Council proudly dedicates this park to the people of Melbourne.”
It's a beautiful October morning in the Mitten as Great Lakes Central OW11 heads south behind a pair of ex Montana Rail Link SD35-3s. Time is short for these rare units, the only operable SD35s in the US (as far as I know), as Watco continues to bring in newer power to replace them.

Even though I've already put in a submission for #flickrfriday I decided to drop another one in. Similar to my previous submission, this is another bridge that is connected to the set of train tracks near my home. This bridge here is one that goes over a very frequented back road, the same road my mom would take me and my two siblings out for drives to entertain us. Not to mentions the whole road has a spectacular view of a gorgeous river!
We are in monsoon season here in the midwest. The rain took a break this morning, the sun made an appearance for a few hours, and I slogged through the wet. This is from a small park in Goshen, Ohio not far from where I live

Nous avons récupéré cette petite chatte de 4 mois sur le parking devant la maison. Elle était blessée à la patte, apparemment mordue par un chien et peut être abandonnée ce premier weekend des vacances (le 19/10/19). Elle était maigre et affamée. Nous l'avons gardée le week-end pour la nourrir et essayer de la soigner (nous avons déjà 2 chats dont une récupérée à la SPA et l'autre sauvage récupérée chez mes beaux parents). Je ne peux pas me permettre de garder cette chatte même si elle est adorable est visiblement très sociable. Quand je prend un animal de compagnie, j'assume les conséquence quoi qui l'arrive... Lundi, j'ai essayé de m'adresser à une association pour la prendre en charge mais qui ne m'a jamais rappelé. J'ai donc pris la décision de l'amener à la SPA à contre cœur. J'ai été très mal accueilli. La patronne était très énervée; Je l'entendais crier avant même de franchir la grille. Je me suis dit que cela allait être très compliqué. Effectivement, dès qu'elle m'a vue avec ma cage, elle m'a littéralement engueulée en me disant qu'elle ne pouvait plus accueillir de chats et qu'elle en avait marre de voir les gens abandonner les animaux. Elle m'a sermonné en me disant qu'elle ne faisait plus confiance à ce que disaient les gens et pensait que c'est moi qui abandonnait cette chatte! Je l'ai laissait se calmer en lui répétant calmement qu'elle était mignonne et qu'elle avait besoin de soin. Elle m'a dit d'aller la conduire à la mairie pour la mettre en fourrière ce qui pour moi était synonyme d'euthanasie pour cette pauvre bête. Je suis resté devant elle sans répondre. Au bout de 10 mn, un des employés est venu ouvrir la grille de la cage pour l'ausculter et j'ai su à ce moment précis qu'ils allaient la prendre en charge…La patronne s'est levée en bougonnant en disant qu'elle allait l'amener au vétérinaire. …
Ils ont tellement vu de chats arriver ce lundi qu'ils étaient complètement débordés et affligés par la connerie humaine.
J'ai rempli un certificat d'abandon puis je suis rentré chez moi un peu soulagé. Ceci dit ci jamais ils n'avaient pas pris cette chatte en charge, je pense que je n'aurai pas pu me résoudre à l'amener à la mairie, et que je l'aurai amener à un vétérinaire malgré notre situation difficile pour pouvoir la prendre en charge…
Je n'ai rien d'autre à ajouter ci ce n'est que j'ai beaucoup de mal à comprendre qu'on puisse abandonner des animaux domestiques si dépendant de nous et qui n'ont rien demandés … Mais quand on voit comment nous les humains nous nous comportons entre nous , comment peut attendre de la compassion envers les animaux…
Je rappelle que la France détient le triste record d'Europe des abandons d'animaux. Quelle honte!
