This is taken up in the mountains not far from where I take my lynx pictures.

Eurasian lynx family spending the evening together. Cleaning each other and hugging (or so I like to think).

 

I am sorry for the bad quality. There was just too much grass and straws in the way. Very difficult to focus.

Roses can live for a very long time. There are rose fossils discovered that date back 35 million years. The large rose bush that covers the wall of the Cathedral of Hildesheim in Germany has been there for over a millennium.

One result from my first real attempt to take bird pictures. I sat at one place for about 8 hours. The weather was not good and I struggled with the light. This is probably my sharpest capture.

This is very iconic Norwegian. (But very far from my everyday life) These are the same kind of horses that the Norwegian vikings used.

People comment that wolves are not dangerous to people and I did not try to imply that with my title. But a wolf is not a dog either. You have to treat it with respect. I love wolves. In Norway there are too many people who wants to shoot them. I am not one of them. I just wanted to enhance that even though it looks so kind and cuddly, it is not an animal you should hug :-)

This part used to belong to the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The border went through the middle of the lake. The western part belonged to the Federal Republic of Germany.
