Another shot from my trip to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge last month. This bird wants to let you know that I've been extremely busy with my new job as a manager for Toys R Us Express and I haven't had time to shoot or make comments on my contacts' pics. Mark Spain is a UK contemporary artist, based in Kent. He started his art career working with etchings and calligraphy, but branched out into oil painting around the year 2000. Mark is renowned for his figurative oil paintings, especially his paintings of the female form, usually in stunning, flowing dresses. Often his women are dancing, or lost in their own world. Mark likes to experiment and take risks with his painting style. He plays with texture and colour, switching between bright sunshine and fading dusky imagery at a stroke. His paintings are instantly recognisable, classic with a contemporary twist.
