Evergreen Clematis is blooming in my garden in spite of being heavily damaged by last winter's harsh cold snap. Hopefully it may eventually return to its former glory.

I think it's the hair on the female - it just reminds me of Marge Simpson for some reason and this pair comes across to me like an old married couple!

HE DIED AUG. 6, 1945 IN A CRASH IN CALIFORNIA AS A CIVILIAN TEST PILOT FLYING THE NEW LOCKHEED P-80 (THE SAME DAY THE BOMB WAS DROPPED ON HIROSHIMA).

Cette photo n'est pas d'une très bonne qualité. Et pourtant j'ai voulu la poster sur Flickr car je trouve la scène assez intéressante.
Je ne sais pas qui étaient ces personnes qui ont croisé mon chemin. Ils parlaient un étrange dialecte que je n'ai pas compris.
Je me pose encore des questions sur leurs attitudes étonnantes et sur les surprenantes chaines attachées au troisième personnage, qui avance en baissant la tête.

Marge's Liquor Store in Eveleth, Minnesota had a good run for decades, but the store is now closed and vacant. The store's vintage neon sign still hangs along Fayal Road in downtown Eveleth.
This is a small part of a scene on my summer time coffee mug. The original painting was done by Lowell Herrero. The gals have their summer sun hats on for Sun Safety.

A little rabbit knight. There are all kinds of marginalia illustrations of rabbits fighting, skinning, and torturing knights in medieval manuscripts and no one is really entirely sure why.
Quick build over a couple days, I wanted to give her a shield but kinda ran out of time.

ALLIUM is her loyal steed. People think he's a demon but he'd much rather just be munching on some leeks.

Built for the Redemption Round 3 of the 2020 Bio-Cup, theme: Western Art History.
I based these on the strange illustrations found in the margins of Medieval illuminated manuscripts (formally called marginalia) of knights fighting rabbits on monstrous hybrid snails.
I was actually looking for a different motif, but as is always the case... You walk around with your camera and the subject finds you. Marge Simpson was clearly hiding in the field here.
