Butter-Bot’s final moments and thoughts. There is an anomaly in the program. "Blade” was the 23rd prompt. Butter knives are blades enough. #marchofrobots #marchofrobots2019 #procreate #ipadpro #digitalart #sad #blade #knife #butter #robot #butterknife

Safety Bot Rescue Model Mk III with improved internal rappelling cable system. #marchofrobots2019 this was the day 16 prompt "Rescue." I’m mostly happy with it. There is something bugging me but I can’t put my finger on it. #marchofrobots #digitalart #ipadpro #procreate #robots #rescue #rappel #cliff #help

I found out about March of Robots late on the 22nd of March. The prompt for the 22nd was "Race". I assumed they meant the running type and not the ancestral type. This was the first drawing I've posted from my ipad pro.

For some reason, Brazilian model Flavia Lucini liked this photo on my Instagram account.

Makes the perfect gift! (Surgery not included) The prompt for the 25th of #marchofrobots was read.

An unexpected visitor. The prompt for the 27th was "visitor." I almost gave up on the sketch. Then I had the idea of little robot coming through a doggie door .

Anomaly Detected. The prompt for the 26th was flower. Robots have trouble with anomalies.

March of Robots UPDATE 2:

Nolan Bushnell started Androbot in 1983 shortly after quitting at Atari. Nolan formed a tech think tank and created a number of different companies including Chuck E Cheese! The TOPO line had 3 versions produced although only the first two TOPOs were commercially available. B.O.B. (Brains on Board) was a more autonomous and therefore more expensive version of TOPO that was released in very limited numbers. A forth TOPO unit was designed in late 1984 but Androbot’s doors closed before this unit could be produced.

Not all robots are nice.

Nolan Bushnell’s second consumer robotics company Axlon released this ANDY robot in 1985. ANDY was initially a robot named FRED (1983), a design from Bushnell’s first and at the time, recently defunct robotics company, Androbot. FRED had a stylus and was meant to marketed as a drawing robot. ANDY is made from modified FRED parts. A full write up on ANDY and Bushnell’s other robots will be released at the end of March of Robots.
