Magic in the Mutual
Small buds grow, tightly bound
With sepal nectar dripping down
As ants its sweetness sips a bit
And defends from others’ harmful grip
A thanks to peony as it grows
Nature living mutual.

More than a Teapot
Small toddlers— and even these days—
Granddaughters, tea parties, smiles and play;
Gramma and girls: sip, sipping away;
And this on my counter sits today
After a sip with one, showing her way:
Tis more than a teapot: memories replayed.

MarchMake metal
For the immediate future… Another month of alliterative prompts to play with. You can share your responses in all the usual places including this group or I could set up a new MarchMake group here on Flickr
Should be a full moon tonight but it’s too cloudy to photograph so I’m recycling an image I produced as a Christmas card
Part of the marbled endpapers of my very precious 1665 edition of Aesops Fables, published by Ogilby and with original etchings by Wenceslas Hollar and other artists. The book was repaired and rebound in 1882 so the endpapers are from that date

Griffin: head and wings of eagle and body of lion — King of Birds and King of Beasts
I messed up on the beak.
