Flypaper textured....

For the Marco Mondays challenge Pie, in honor of Pi-Day, aka March 14 (3.14)

We’ve been having a lot of deer visit our back yard lately. Six of them came around this night and the next morning nine of them stopped by. Love to see them!

I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since we adopted our sweet little girl!

While she may be smaller than Floki & Ivar, she is the most fearless (and confident) and has the lowest voice. She’s never afraid to tell us exactly what she wants, or what she thinks of something. Her purr is almost constant, especially when she’s perching on my leg or snuggling us.

She’s a fan of warm laundry & getting melty in a sunny window, and has the cutest little nose wrinkle. She’s absolute perfection!

This if for you, Barbara. It had occurred to me to try flipping it, but I didn't get around to it. I think I like it better this way ... it looks as though I'm looking at 'real' trees, while standing between a haystack and a snow dirft!

Tomorrow it will have been seven years since we adopted Hazel. She’s such a perfect little nutty girl and we love her so much!

This pie is hot out of the oven and is still bubbling.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and favs. They are all greatly appreciated. So glad you stopped by.

Mike, if you see this, it's for you ... following our conversation about Ramsons the other day. I love to look at it at this stage, as it's bursting through its sheath, and you can still see the coiled stalks of the individual florets so beautifully packed inside.

I have been spending alot of time at "The NEST"….We are a little concerned if the chicks are getting enough to eat..but they seem strong. Three chicks now occupy the nest the youngest hatched two days after these two. I have so many images it was hard to decided which one to start with. I opted for one with the parent present. Some say this is mom others say this is dad. Research information says the female usually occupies the nest at night…and that DNA or mating behavior is the only way to tell the difference between the male and female. In my previous post the adult has a solid yellow/orange beak.

They looked like permanent fixtures.

March 2015.

….. there are masses of frogs in the ponds up here now, and frogspawn. I love the sound of them! And those heaps of knotted frogs are wonderful to behold!! :o)

I'll catch up with all of you soon - haven't had much time this past couple of days.

… returning from the coast to the Pentland hills, one day last week.

This picture is for the group Happy Caturday and this week the theme is "We are Cat People".

When you come in our back door the first thing you see is a couple pieces of packing paper and the kitty toy box. We order our kitty food and toys from Chewy and they always put a piece of packing paper in each box. The boys love playing with this stuff. I used to hate leaving this paper on the floor but I've gotten used to just letting them have it to play with. The toy box beside Noah is filled with toys that have to be "locked" up at night.... otherwise feathers and tails would go missing. :)

This image is a macro shot of gaps between cobblestones on an overflow from a reservoir. It was flooded with about an inch of water. As I walked by it, I noticed that, collected in between many of the cobbles, were thousands of these tiny air bubbles - about 1mm in diameter. They were forming some lovely scatter patterns, and were illuminated in the strong sunlight so that they looked like armies of tiny silver balls.

Day 23...Hope all is well ...Jim & Linda...

I was going to choose "Fill the frame with food" but nothing looked appetizing anymore, lol. So as I was cleaning up after Christmas I noticed a very thin piece of sheer material that a gift was wrapped in. I decided to fold it several times and put folds and try a picture. Hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year!

Yes, it's true - today is in fact my birthday. And, I don't mind tell y'all that I'm 44. To me, age is just a number and 44 happens to be my favorite number. So now I'm my favorite number.

It's a chilly, rainy day here in my neck of the woods ~ hope the sun is shining where you are and you all have a good Sunday.

I'm pretty embarrassed to post this since you can now see how cluttered our den is!

I had to give the boys a place to be able to sit and watch the birds so we purchased this kitty tree and put it next to the desk. There is also another piece of kitty furniture that is to the right of Elijah (out of the picture). People definitely know that "We are cat people" when they walk into our house. I think we have enough toys and kitty furniture for 10 cats! :)

(The title "The Dawg Pound" is because the den is decorated in our favorite teams colors and paraphernalia.. the Cleveland Browns...
