A fox squirrel stands near the side of a backroad in Florida's Big Cypress National Preserve. Fourth in my small mammal. One more tomorrow.

I try to take my bird feeders in at night to avoid a nightly raid on the seed and suet. This young raccoon has decided to visit in the early evening to steal the goods. I was a bit surprised to look out the kitchen window and see this raccoon climbing up to the deck.

Almost entirely hollowed out. Apparently the target was the seeds more than the wall flesh. Every portion of the pumpkin - including seeds, seed hulls, and stringy membranes - is completely edible to both squirrels and humans.

This knobby pumpkin is just for decoration, but it is just as edible as any other.

This is the next morning after yesterday's snow photo. In Colorado, the next day after a snow is usually clear and sunny, because our weather systems rarely linger.

Sparkle in the mommy glass again last night

This guy is a regular once it's getting dark. Our two dearly loved kitties are fed outside because they have never allowed themselves to be coaxed indoors. They enjoy regular meals and cozy shelter in the yard, and they sometimes take their meals in small doses, taking a break and then coming back for more. Whatever they leave uneaten doesn't last long when night falls, as this opportunist is only too glad to make sure nothing goes to waste. Not a sharp image, but I didn't want to frighten him with the flash.

so, I drove past an Advance Auto Parts and noticed a Marauder on the side, looked up and before I could decide to turn around here comes an identical Marauder! WTF?!?! Lol! Crazy! He pulls into Advance and I figure, well, of course they're together. Nope! Just two random guys with identical Marauders pulling into the same place at the same time. I had to ask them to park together so I could get a shot, of course, lol!

Probably an adolescent male.

One more car with a Continental kit that graced may of the large cars of the late fifties. I am not

absolutely positive, but feel fairly confident that this is a '58 Mercury Maruader.

I bet this car would be a hoot to go cruisin' in with the warm temperatures we have be having lately and expected to continue for yet another few days.

these young raccoons were busy eating the fruit in the service berry while their mother busied herself digging holes in the lawn.....

Apenas para não passar MAIS um dia sem atualizar! Estou sem fotos, e já faz um bom tempo, está tão difícil conseguir uma que realmente me agrade. Estou sem muito tempo também...enfim :}

Climbing the slot canyon trail to the top of the mesa yields this view of the tents along the trail. This and the other Tent Rocks' images were taken on the Mid-Week Marauders visit in September 2014.

One of a pair of male lions that we had seen the previous morning close to a pride of 3 females, a male and several sub adult cubs. That night we had witnessed the two interlopers stalking the pride with the intention of taking it over from the male. The pride managed to escape and fled into a neighbouring conservancy. The air that night was full of roars from the split pride and the chasing duo.

This picture was taken the following morning quite close to camp.

Shot minutes before its forcible relocation. It had already destroyed one of my tomato plants and moved on to the next one. Children's literature like "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has destroyed my ability to destroy the destroyer, so I clipped the stem it was on and moved it to fend for itself.

It had a regular run across our garden via a 5 ft / 1.5m fence. One evening I sat about 8 ft /2.5m away from the fence and waited. This was taken with flash but I think the reflection of the light from its eyes cut the exposure off :-(

Thank you all for commenting and favouring my images it is very much appreciated.

I have dreamed of shooting a raccoon ... in an Aspen tree, in a field of wild red berries, in a hole in a tree, etc. Never. Last night at one o'clock in the morning I was still awake and looked out on my back upstairs deck and what to my wandering eyes did I see but a raccoon! He made NO noise and wanted only this plant you see him tipping over in this shot. He saw me and my cat and was only concerned about the cat. Of course it was almost impossible to get his shot at one in the morning but here it is with warts and all cause I was gosh darn excited!!! After about five minutes he went over and scurried back down the apple tree to the ground and left me.

Inspired by "A Tribe Called Quest" album covers.

The MR-7: Marauder was designed by the Mars Conglomerate as a multi purpose ground vehicle, capable of crossing long distances on the rough surface of Mars. It is well armed with two 43mm canon on the front, and 4 gauss gun mounted on a turret.

"Set sail for unimaginable adventures in a flying airship with The Pale Masque, captain of the notorious Thunder Marauder skypirates!"
